No more waiting for an IPL trophy! No more teasing you for being a loyal supporter of RCB! Dramatic turnaround in the 18th season of the IPL. Royal Challengers Bengaluru have their maiden IPL title! Virat Kohli has an IPL trophy! Everyone is in tears. It doesn't matter whether you are a baby, child, teen, or grown-up - all are in tears of joy. Tweets everywhere, stories everywhere, posts everywhere!  Bengaluru is not going to sleep anytime soon. No one will complain about the traffic jam tonight. It is a celebration time! Don't take anything away from the RCBians.

Punjab Kings were absolutely superb this season. Only that RCB were better than them twice in the clutch games. Received a hammering in Qualifier 1 and returned strongly in Qualifier 2, but faltered in the big final. Shreyas Iyer has nothing left to prove. He is a terrific leader. He has led multiple teams into the final and has won a title last season as well. You have to stand and applaud the way Punjab played this season.

A wonderful season of IPL comes to an end. International cricket and franchise leagues across the world keep coming our way to keep us busy. A memorable night in RCB's history.

For now, it is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Ninaad Dixit and Pritam Dey, scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman, who brought you all the live action of this famous finale. We will meet again. Until then, it is cheers!

Here is the moment that every Royal Challengers Bengaluru fan has been waiting forβ€”Rajat Patidar walks up to the podium with the entire stadium erupting in cheers! Standing alongside him are BCCI President Roger Binny and ICC Chairman Jay Shah, ready to hand over the most coveted prize in Indian cricket.

With flashbulbs lighting up the night sky and chants of β€œRCB! RCB!” echoing around the Narendra Modi Stadium, the IPL 2025 trophy is officially presented to the RCB captain. The entire team joins him now. Patidar lifts it high, and the fireworks go off in the backgroundβ€”an iconic image etched forever in the hearts of millions.

The 18-year wait is finally over. ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU are the CHAMPIONS of the 18th edition of the IPL! πŸ†
Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain): I think it is really special for me, special for Virat Kohli and all the fans who have supported us for years. They deserve this.

I think after Qualifier 1, we were sure sort of doing this.

I think 190 was a good score on this pitch. It was a bit slow. The way our bowlers executed their plans was tremendous to watch.

Of course, Krunal is a wicket-taking bowler. Whenever I need a wicket and come under pressure, I look out for where KP is. I have a lot of belief in him, Suyash is also the same. He bowled well throughout the same. The fast bowlers have done a great job. Bhuvi, Hazlewood and Dayal did well, and Romario bowled well tonight. The way Romario came in and the way he gave 2-3 overs and the breakthrough was special.

For me, it is a great opportunity to captain this team and have Virat Kohli playing under me. A great learning for me to captain someone like Kohli. He deserves this more than anyone else. Virat Kohli, all the fans, coaches and support staff deserve this. The way they have supported the players was beautiful.

I just want to say one line for the fans - EE SALA CUP NAMDU!"
