Milestone
A season with more downs than ups comes to an end for the Rajasthan Royals. A lot to ponder over for their plans for the next season. Plenty of injuries and some close games going against them resulting in a patchy tournament. They however leave the field for one last time with a big smile and even bigger victory over another side which has struggled with injuries, not having a consistent lineup and a fragile batting order i.e. Chennai Super Kings. Led by the legendary MS Dhoni from the middle of the season, CSK has managed only 3 victories off 13 games and has one game on their hands before the season ends.

That's it from the game played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and that's it from our coverage as well. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Pritam Dey & Akshay Bhide; scorers Paras Yadav & Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman. Stay tuned for more action from around the world!
Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "It feels good actually. We were thinking about whether to post a total on the board and then defend it or not. It was a last moment call for me as I thought there was no hiding in this game so I opted to chase again.

Basically we have a very young bowling line-up. Some of the bowlers are stepping up which shows that the future looks good in this team. They are very young but they are very promising.

(On Akash Madhwal) To be very honest, there has been lots and lots of work going around. I think he didn't play many games but he played the last four games for us. He has been working very closely with Shane Bond who is now in New Zealand. Hours and hours of spot bowling with him and that has given him a lot of success.

It definitely is very hard to win games in this tournament. The quality of the teams are quite similar but I think the margin of error in winning and losing is so less that we can't find out how we lost so many games this season. We need to sit and find out after this season what went wrong for us. We need to actually accept the mistakes we have done this season and move on from there.

(On Vaibhav Suryavanshi) Yeah absolutely. I don't have words for him. The way he played that knock in Jaipur (Hundred vs GT). You have seen lot of games and youngsters but it was not proper swinging from him. He can hit you on the leg side and he can read a slower ball and hit you over the covers as well. It tells you what kind of a temperament he has. Today, after the powerplay, the way he smartly adjusted himself to the situation of the game was simply brilliant. There is something special for Indian cricket following through."
