Milestone
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have turned up in style in Lucknow, playing party spoilers and officially knocking LSG out of the playoff race. It was a clinical all-round performance by the Orange Army as they pulled off a record run chase at this venue, leaving no room for error from the home side.

With this result, the playoff equation is now crystal clear β€” only one spot remains, and it’s a direct shootout between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. A virtual knockout awaits us on Wednesday!

Before that, we have a dead rubber tomorrow as Chennai Super Kings face Rajasthan Royals in a neutral venue in Delhi. For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh & Ninaad Dixit who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Abhishek Sharma (Player of the Match): "[About the incident with Rathi] We actually spoke after the game and it's all good now.

I would have had other plans if we batted first but chasing 206, you had to make use of the powerplay. Me and Atharva had the chat that if we get our first ball in the arc we will smoke it out of the park.

If you ask any of the player who's playing international cricket in the last decade they will say you should win the powerplay while chasing something around 200. I tried to express myself and if I do well it will do good to the team.

[On responsibility of being a capped player] It gives you an extra edge. You have to take an extra responsibility that you are representing your country. I had the same plan in the international team as well to just go and express myself."

Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain):  "Probably a few more than we would have liked. I thought we brought the total back in the middle overs, at one stage it looked like 220. On this wicket, we walked off confident, chasing 206.

(Eshan Malinga) He has been brilliant. He's worked well with the coaches and developed his game. Huge asset for us.

I think, at times. When we were at our best, it doesn't look like they take too many risks like tonight. They are class and clean strikers and got so many options. They took their options and batted well. Probably, could have done this a bit more throughout the season.

I think a lot of confidence going into the next year. It is a lot of the same guys. We know when we come together, we are going to be a great side as we showed tonight. Probably in the next game, it is about giving opportunity to the other guys."
