That’s a wrap from Super Sunday! Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans emerge victorious and officially seal their playoff berths, joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final four.

Rajasthan Royals let another chase slip through their fingers earlier in the day, while Delhi Capitals were comprehensively beaten at home by GT’s dynamic opening duo—Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill—whose form continues to shine.

All eyes now shift to Wednesday’s high-stakes clash between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, which effectively becomes a virtual knockout. But before that, we’ve got another crucial match on Monday. Lucknow Super Giants are still mathematically in the race but must win big to stay alive. They host Sunrisers Hyderabad in Lucknow.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh & Ninaad Dixit who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋

Sai Sudharsan (Player of the Match): "It feels really great to contribute for the team and make the team win. There's a bit of joy when you finish games for the team so I feel I've missed quite a bit times in the previous games so I think the break which we got, I was thinking on that a bit more and maybe it paid off today.

[What pleased you most?] They bowled really well from 7-10 overs. The momentum went down a bit. We took the game deeper. We were not desperate to take a lot of chances and we were cool and calm enough to take the game deeper and we knew 2 or 3 big overs will seal the game for us. Previous games I took chances there and got out so I was aware enough to take the game deeper at that point of time and take right matchups and chances.

[Learning from previous games] I've started to believe a bit more and from my mindset point of view, belief has gotten better on myself too. Take the game deeper, win games for the team and explore my batting. I don't think there's a lot of changes in my batting as such. Mentally I am bit more free and more expressive.

[What could be improved] When I look at the spinners maybe I can get better striking them naturally. After 15 overs I have a lot to work on.

[Opening pair with Gill] There's lot of understanding between us. When I go after the bowlers he complements them and when he goes after the bowlers I complement and we rotate the strike really well. We both have a great understanding and run really well. When I do some mistake, he points at me and makes me aware and similarly from my side as well."
Player of the Match: B Sai Sudharsan
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans Captain): "Feels great. To be able to get that Q on the board. But I think still 2 important games left for us. Getting momentum into the playoffs is key for us.

Feels amazing. I have talked about this a lot. When I am batting, I want to play as a batter and not think about captaincy much. Last year, it was a learning experience for me. In the backend of last year, that's what I learned.

Yeah, we were right back in the groove. Our fielding has been below par, we dropped a lot of catches leading up to this game and we got the time to reflect on that.

When you are in form, Sai has been in tremendous form. The way he is able to convert the starts, you don't talk about much. You are playing the ball, you are seeing the situation and condition and you just tell yourself to go back a little and not to let yourself go in the flow. When we were batting in the middle tonight, we talked about finishing the game and not to leave it to someone else. On this wicket, you never know.

Honestly, at the halfway point, we felt we gave away 15 runs extra. They kept wickets in the hand and utilised the wicket pretty well. When we went out to bat, we decided to play good cricketing shots. Once we are in the flow, we can take the game from there.

Not much, I got sick so the break came in handy for me. Yes, definitely. Two more important games for us, we want to get into the playoffs with as much momentum as possible."
