That's it from our coverage of the exciting 2-match Test series. Ninaad Dixit, Deepak Prakash, scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar and statistician Aman signing off. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Dhananjaya de Silva collects the series winning trophy and poses with his team for the official pictures! A well deserved 1-0 victory for the hosts!
Dhananjaya de Silva (Sri Lanka Captain): "There was a difference between the 2 matches. I am always speaking about the first innings. The bowlers and batters both delivered in the first innings.

The bowlers had their plans and they executed well. That's a good morale booster for us. Sonal Dinusha is a good batter but has that extra ability to bowl and get some breakthroughs for the team.

That's a very good sign when you have a strong bench putting some pressure on the playing XI and they can perform under pressure. That's the team that I want.

Pathum Nissanka was performing in all 3 formats and I think he'll continue to do that."
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "Yeah, it was very disappointing how we finished the first Test. After that, the way we played in this one was also disappointing — we just didn’t play well. Yeah, obviously we had better opportunities, but we couldn’t make the most of them. Especially the way we batted in the first innings — that wasn’t up to the mark, and it ended up costing us this game.

No, I still feel we should have batted first. Yes, the wicket was a little bit slower, but I think the way we got out was not good enough. We always took the easy options and made a lot of mistakes in the first innings with our batting.

Yeah, obviously I think the way we bowled on Day 3 — especially Taijul, Nayeem, and Rana — was really nice to see in these conditions. I hope going forward those guys can do something special for the team."
Pathum Nissanka (Player of the Match & Series): "This is the first time I have done well at home and I have given it my all. Very happy with the 2 hundreds. The Galle and SSC surfaces were very different. The ball spun only on day 4 at Galle but it turned from the beginning at SSC."

10:30 AM: Sri Lanka wrap up the game early on day 4 winning the 2nd Test at Colombo by an innings and 78 runs. After a dominating display from the batters, it was time for the spin duo of Prabath Jayasuriya and Tharindu Ratnayake to wrap the Bangladesh innings for just 133!

Earlier in the Test, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. The visitors failed to stitch big partnerships with Shadman Islam top scoring with 46 to help them achieve a total of 247. Debutant Sonal Dinusha (3/22) and Asitha Fernando (3/51) starred with the ball in the 1st innings for Sri Lanka.

Responding with the bat, it was Pathum Nissanka hitting 158 along with two unlucky batters Dinesh Chandimal (93) and Kusal Mendis (84 off 87) who missed out on a chance of scoring three figures. Taijul Islam picked up 5/131 - his 17th Test fifer as Sri Lanka scored a strong 458.

Batting just a little over tea on day 3, Bangladesh lost Anamul Haque for 19. The spinners Prabath Jayasuriya, skipper Dhananjaya de Silva and Tharindu Ratnayake never let the opposition settle and kept taking wickets at regular interval to push them at 115/6 at the close of play.

Jayasuriya jumped into action straightaway dismissing Litton Das for 14 and then removed Nayeem Hasan and Taijul Islam in consecutive overs before Tharindu had last man Ebadot Hossain trapped in front of the stumps to skittle Bangladesh for 133 and closing the series.
