Two talented Asian nations are all readiness to bring crackerjack T20I action in front of the cricketing world as they fight it out in the two-match series. The first game between the UAE and Bangladesh will be contested at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, on Saturday (May 17).

After the new leadership of Litton Das, Bangladesh will be on the road to the UAE and Pakistan, looking for the right method and balance for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled for the sub-continent.

For this series in the UAE, Litton and the Tigers have brought back quality players such as Towhid Hridoy, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam, who all missed their last T20 assignment against the West Indies. However, Mustafizur has signed an IPL deal with Delhi Capitals, and he has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC), but after playing the 1st game.

Moreover, Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz miss out. Whereas Taskin Ahmed is harbouring an Achilles injury.

On the other hand, the home team is continuing with their seasoned Muhammad Waseem as their captain, after he helped UAE win the Gulf Cricket Championship 2024, where they defeated Kuwait in the finals by a mere margin of 2 runs.

UAE have dropped Nilansh Keswani, Junaid Siddique, Omid Rehman, Ali Naseer, Syed Haider Wasi Shah and Tanish Suri. However, they have retained their core players - Waseem, Alishan Sharafu, Rahul Chopra and Muhammad Jawadullah.
