Thank you for following our coverage. India Women rockets with their excellent performance in the Tri-Nation series. Meanwhile, there have been plenty of positives for Sri Lanka and South Africa to take forward from this tri-series event.

It’s time to take your leave. Arijit Kundu signing off along with the palindromic pairs - Deepak Prakash (DP), Pritam Dey (PD). Ghanendra Singh Thakur was behind the scoring duties. Adios fellas!
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "Yeah definitely, today was a convincing victory. The batters played really well and that was our talk in the meeting. We wanted to bat first and everyone batted really well.

We still have things were we can improve. A little bit on our fielding, catching and also building up partnerships. As a team we know that we need to keep improving.

Plenty of positives things for us from this tournament. Apart from me and Smriti, the rest of the players have stepped up. Harleen, Pratika, Sneh Rana, Deepti, everyone stood up and contributed for the side.

Yeah, we all enjoyed our time here in Sri Lanka. First couple of days, things were a bit difficult but after that things eased up for us and we really enjoyed our time here."
Sneh Rana (Player of the Series): "I am very pleased to have contributed to my team. I have practiced very hard to deliver for my team. I am so grateful.

Plan was pretty simple to stick to my plans. I had a word with my bowling coach, that’s what. Yeah, pretty much confident, and really confident about my team, how they’re taking up the challenge and doing well. Thank you."
Player of the Series: Sneh Rana
Smriti Mandhana (Player of the Match): "Today after the heat, I am a reluctant talker. I think that's how we mostly plan our innings in ODIs. We try to assess the conditions and then find our way to score runs. They were really disciplined with their lines and lengths today so we had to bat well.

Yeah all the wickets were really good to bat on. I can talk much about the bowlers but it was really good batting wickets. So, no complaints about the wickets."
Player of the Match: Smriti Mandhana
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain): "The Indian team played very well today. A 300-plus score is always tough to chase, but we dropped a few catches and allowed them to settle in. Smriti batted brilliantly. We need to improve our fielding standards. We need a few more power-hitters. We're working hard, and hopefully, we'll perform well in the World Cup."
5:51 PM IST & Local Time: Time for the Post-Tournament Presentation!
5:39 PM IST and Local Time: Raise the Tri-colour high as India have dismantled Sri Lanka to emerge as the champions of the Tri-Nation series. They have eclipsed the Lankan side by 97 runs in this one-sided main event of the Tri-Nation series where South Africa was the third nation.

Eyeing to chase a gargantuan total, Amanjot Kaur struck in the first over, removing Hasini Perera with a seed. Subsequently, Vishmi Gunaratne and Chamari Athapaththu troubled the opposition as the mix of pace and spin inside the first powerplay didn't bring Indian rewards. Following 49 runs in the first over, Amanjot returned to edge past Gunaratne at the cusp of the refreshment break. Although Chamari scored a fifty, she was bowled by Sneh Rana, the Comeback queen, before a collapse followed suit, reducing Sri Lanka to 192/7 in 37.4 overs.

Although Nilakshi de Silva's resilient 48 was followed by a 50-run eighth-wicket stand between Sugandika Kumari and Anushka Sanjeewani, it wasn't enough to seal the deal. However, Sneh Rana got the breakthrough and cleared the tail in a jiffy, complemting Amanjot's three-fer with a four-for to leave Sri Lanka short by 97 runs. India emerge as the champions of the Tri-Nation series, which served as a great preparatory tourney for the Cricket World Cup later this year.

Previously, India's decision to bat first under sunny conditions worked out well as openers Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana showed authority with the bat. The pair orchestrated 70 runs for the first wicket, following a 45-run powerplay. Inoka Ranaweera, one of the promising spinners of Sri Lanka broke the important stand at the cusp of the drinks break. But it didn't make way for greater rewards with Harleen Deol accompany Smriti Mandhana in her the latter's eleventh ODI ton. Barring Mandhana's 116, Harleen's 47 and Harmanpreet's 41 propelled India Women to 267/4 in 42 overs. With the stage set for a big total, Jemimah Rodrigues' 29-ball 44 coupled with Amanjot Kaur and Deepti Sharma's handy contributions steered India to 342/7 in 50 overs.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations...
