That’s all from this contest, folks! Sri Lanka Women outplayed South Africa Women to register their first win in the series. On the other hand, Proteas have lost two matches in a row in the series. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentators Akshay Bhide, Pritam Dey, and scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. CHEERS!
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain): "Actually, we back our skills. I have an experienced bowling line-up. Malki Madara has bowled well even in the New Zealand series. The selectors and the coaching staff are backing me to take those decisions. We are happy with the win.

We have good spinners and I know this track is little slow and low. So, we decided to go with only one pacer.

Actually, long year back, it's happened. We have new youngsters. They are performing well and I'm proud as a captain. Especially, Kavisha and Harshitha. I hope these girls will play their best cricket in this tournament and in the future."
Harshitha Samarawickrama (POTM): "I’m really happy to have contributed to Sri Lanka’s victory. Vishmi Gunaratne and Hasini Perera set the stage for us. The wicket was a bit slow, but we adjusted and batted accordingly."
Player of the Match: Harshitha Madavi Samarawickrama
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Yeah, I think we didn't have enough runs on the board. It may have flatten a bit later. Not enough runs on the board and we didn't bowl well.

I think we just have to be brave with the bat for the longer periods of time. Also, have to be consistent with the ball. I haven't looked at the stats yet but I think they scored more runs square of the wicket.

I think the spinners can slow it up a little bit. At home, you can get away with this but not here. You can see how the Sri Lankan spinners bowled. You have to slow it up a little bit."
