Incredible series victory for India but a good fight back from West Indies in the final Test promises of what could be in the future. With an emotional victory against Australia in Australia and missing out on a few players due to injury, West Indies would hope that things can turn around for good as they leap ahead in their Test cricket journey. India at the other hand are in the form of their lives be it Test cricket or the shortest format. To prove their mettle at the shorter format, i.e. the 50-over format, they travel to Australia for what will be an intense challenge.

That will be it from our coverage of the 2-match Test series. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya, scorer Sachin Yadav and statistician Aman. Stay tuned for more action from around the world!
Shubman Gill receives the series winning trophy from BCCI vice-president Mr. Rajiv Shukla! He joins his team and hands the trophy to N Jagadeesan as the winning team celebrates and poses for official pictures. Ravindra Jadeja then holds the trophy. The Indian team management and coaching staff join the squad with the trophy placed in front of the winners placard.
Shubman Gill (India Captain): "Yes, definitely. It is quite a big honour to lead India. Yes, I would say that I am getting used to it. I'm getting used to managing players now. Leading this team is a great honour.

I mean, it is about choosing the right options and considering the situation at that time. It's about taking the right options in the given situation. I try to make the most probable decision in the middle.

Sometimes you have to take the bold decisions. Sometimes you have to get those X-factor players, depending on which player can get you certain runs or can get you those wickets.

We were nearly 300 runs ahead in the first innings. We thought, even if we scored like 500 odd runs and had to get 6 or 7 wickets on day 5 on this wicket, which could be tough for us. So, that was the thought process behind enforcing follow-on.

(On Nitish Kumar Reddy) Didn't get to bowl in this game. We don't want players to only play matches overseas. That puts a lot of pressure on the players. We want to groom certain players that we think can help us win matches overseas, because that has been a challenge for us.

See, I've been batting since I was 3 or 4 years old. So, whenever I go out to bat, I want to make decisions as a batter. The one thing that you always strive for is how to make your team win a match. And as a batter, when I'm going out there, that's the only thought that I have even from the young age.

(For Australia tour) It is a long flight. We will plan on the flight."
Ravindra Jadeja (Player of the Series): "[On getting POTS without Ashwin around] I am getting the chance to bowl more overs. We have been doing wonderful work as a team. In terms of batting, bowling I think we know what brand of cricket we are playing since last 5-6 months. Good sign as a team that we continue to do it for a longer period of time.

[if he is in his batting form] I think so. As Gauti bhai said 'You have got the number 6 so now you need to think like a proper batsman. Past so many years I have been batting at number 8 or 9 so my mindset was little different to what I have right now. I am trying to spend more time in the middle whenever I get a chance to bat.

[on claiming 300 wickets and scoring 4000 runs] I don't think too much about records. I need to contribute with bat and ball to my team in winning cause so I always look forward to do that and always think as if I don't perform with the bat or ball then it doesn't add value as a player. I am always keen and I give my 100%.

I think this is my 3rd man of the series trophy so happy to take it home."
Player of the Series: Ravindra Jadeja
Kuldeep Yadav (POTM): "I mean, this was a totally different wicket, if you compare it with the first Test match. Yeah, bowling a lot of overs was the challenge here. We certainly did that. I enjoyed bowling here.

In terms of pace, I thought. Probably the pace and the drift that I got in Ahmedabad. There wasn't any drift here because of the surface. The wicket was too dry. Playing two Test matches back-to-back is always fun. Bowling a lot of overs, getting the breakthroughs in the middle, is something I enjoy a lot.

(On Shai Hope's dismissal in the first innings) No, when you put a lot of revs on the ball, obviously because of the arm speed you generate and if you have that lot of revs on the ball, you get that drift. Yeah, you love to get the batter bowled, and I enjoyed a couple of wickets in the first Test and in this Test as well.

Yeah, I am going to watch a few football games. I mean, we hardly have any time. We are going to fly tomorrow. We have a game on the 19th. I have to prepare for that.

(On Ravindra Jadeja) It is lovely to have him around. He has always been someone who has guided me through tough situations and given me some advice. It is really helping me out."
