Glenn Maxwell (Washington Freedom Captain): "I was really happy with the target, from where we started, scraping anything above 150, I would be happy. We had some indifferent thoughts about batting first in the powerplay and these are the joys of playing a long batting lineup, to be able to fight from that position and give your bowlers, something to defend.

Assessing the conditions quicker helps you get into the situation. I think when I went out there, I spoke to Jack about taking it as deep as possible. Giving ourselves a platform to then go from was very important. Unfortunately I got out, but we had Glenn Phillips to fill in the position and he batted beautifully.

Yeah, nice to have that Q, next thing is to secure the top 2 and get the extra chance in the playoffs, so we will be striving to do really well in Florida."
Mitchell Owen (MVP): "(On being called golden arm) Not sure about that (chuckles). It's good fun. It sort of takes the pressure off. Glad I can play my role. (On being an all-rounder)

Probably not. I feel like, it is T20, you can get lucky sometimes. I can bowl similarly and get hit for 50.

(On surface) We are in the end of our time in Dallas. We knew the pitch will be a bit up and down. The way our batters batted, gave our bowlers enough runs to defend. Luckily, we got over the line.

(On going for a big hit first ball) Yeah, well when I am sticking to my process, I tend to have a look. But today, got excited seeing my mate Xavier Bartlett running at me, wanted to hit him for a six first ball. Didn't come off, onto the next game."
Most Valuable Player of the Match: Mitchell Owen
Play of the Day: Sanjay Krishnamurthi
Power Hitter of the Match: Glenn Phillips
Time for the post-match presentation...
Matthew Short (San Francisco Unicorns Captain): "Yeah, look after that start it was disappointing to let them get to that total. Credit to Glenn Phillips and Obus Pienaar to get them to that score.

I am not one for excuses but it is a used wicket, it is baking here in the sun. It is tough for the batters to start. We could have played a bit smarter. Get a few partnerships going.

Yeah, look it has been a really good season for us. We should dwell on that. Personally, I think loses bring out the best in learning. We will go again in a couple of days and looking forward to get to Lauderhill."
