That’s all from this contest, folks! Pakistan Women were outstanding in the field today and outclassed the Proteas Women by a massive 119 runs to finish the series on a positive note. South Africa Women, however, clinched both the T20I and ODI series 2-1.

We hope you enjoyed our ball-by-ball coverage. For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of my colleagues Manan Mehta, Saptak Sanyal, Raju Khariya, and Aman. Goodbye!
Laura Wolvaardt collects the Winner's Trophy and the team surrounds her! Time for some photographs!
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Yeah not the way we wanted to end the series. I think we were outplayed in all facets of the game. They started well with the bat and ball and we couldn't fight back.

I think out first 20 overs today was not our best work. Too many extras and boundary balls. We need to curb that. I think we are finding consistency in our cricket now. Yes, today was bit of a roadblock but as a whole we are doing pretty well.

Exciting series coming up. 5 T20Is and then 3 ODIs in New Zealand. A World Cup coming up. So yeah, a lot in store for the girls and pretty excited."
Fatima Sana (Pakistan Women Captain): "Yeah finally we got a win here in the series. I think the was Sadaf played was brilliant. I just tried to finish the innings on a strong note. We just wanted to bowl with intent, and I got the early wickets and was very happy.

The way the girls have shown the fight in the series is awesome. I think we are going in the right direction and I am very happy. I think we are lacking in the last ten overs in the field. Hopefully we can come back stronger.

We have a Zimbabwe series coming up Hopefully we do well there in all three matches."
Sune Luus (POTS): "Yeah pretty happy to contribute. I am glad for the series win. It would have been great to be in the runs today. But we are here for a bigger cause and that is what matters. Sometimes things are bigger than cricket. The turnout was excellent. Yeah it was nice. They got off to a flyer. Getting those catches at the end was crucial. Saved a few runs for us."
Player of the Series: Sune Luus
Sadaf Shamas (POTM): "Yeah, I’m very happy with my performance, and most importantly, that the team won. I focused on one ball at a time, and my main goal was to play aggressive shots."

Time for the Post-match Presentations...
7:52 PM IST, 4:22 PM Local Time: Excellent all-round performance from Pakistan Women, and they outclassed the Proteas Women by a massive 119 runs to avoid the series whitewash.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Pakistan Women posted a competitive 306/8 in their 50 overs, built largely around a magnificent 97 off 82 balls from Sadaf Shamas. After an early wicket, Shamas stitched together a crucial 130-run stand with Sidra Amin (41), laying a solid platform for the innings. Contributions from Ayesha Zafar (24) and Najiha Alvi (36) kept the scoreboard ticking through the middle overs.

In the death overs, captain Fatima Sana provided the late impetus with a brisk 60 off 41 balls, striking five sixes to push Pakistan past the 300-run mark. For South Africa Women, Sune Luus was the standout performer with 3 wickets. Nonkululeko Mlaba picked up two scalps, while Ayanda Hlubi, Annerie Dercksen, and Chloe Tryon chipped in with one wicket apiece.

In reply, South Africa Women got off to a horrible start, as Laura Wolvaardt (1), Tazmin Brits (4), and Sune Luus (0) were back in the hut inside the first two overs of the innings, with skipper Sana removing two of them in the second over of the match.

Faye Tunnicliffe and Annerie Dercksen then began the rescue mission, and the pair displayed immense maturity, focusing on strike rotation and capitalising on the loose deliveries that came their way. Their partnership crossed 80 runs, but Nashra Sandhu trapped Tunnicliffe for 47 shortly after the first drinks break of the innings, breaking the stand.

Dercksen continued her fine form and stitched together another crucial 50-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Sinalo Jafta, bringing up her fourth ODI fifty in the process. However, Sadia Iqbal dismissed Jafta for 33 to break the stand.

Dercksen, too, failed to convert her fifty into a big score and departed for 54, as Pakistan Women tightened the screws. South Africa then began losing wickets in clusters following the departure of their set batters.

The hosts were eventually folded for 187 runs.
Sadia Iqbal starred with the ball for Pakistan Women, claiming three wickets. Fatima Sana, Nashra Sandhu, and Umme Hani chipped in with a couple of wickets each, while Tasmia Rubab contributed one wicket to the downfall.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.....
