Aiden Markram (South Africa Captain): "Yeah, nice night out I guess. Pretty good in all departments. Nice to start a series on a winning note like that.
[Thoughts on pitch] Played really well. I thought we bowled at the halfway stage. When you look up and you are chasing 175, you think that is too much. It speaks volumes about the wicket. Worked out nicely tonight, happy with the performance from everyone.
[On Ryan Rickelton] Big time. All showing good form, slightly different role. Walking in outside the powerplay is not easy if you are not used to it. You feel a bit of pressure but he controlled that really well. Took options where he's good at and it paid off nicely.
[On his group of players] That's it. There's guys aren't even here are really good cricketers. So, great to start seeing that depth. A lot of guys putting their hands up in the leagues and for the national team."

Roston Chase (West Indies Captain): "Kudos to them; they played well, restricted us to a below-par total, and chased it well. We thought it was defendable. We wanted to get 180 initially, but we did not have good partnerships, and then we started poorly with the ball in the powerplay that allowed Markram to take the game away from us.
It is upto the batters to take it as deep as possible. It is still T20 cricket, and risks will be there, but calculated risks need to be taken. We had some soft dismissals today, and we need to fix that.
This wicket did not play well, it kept low sometimes, and was a bit slower, but hopefully we get something quicker and with a bit more bounce in the next game."
