Jason Holder (St Kitts & Nevis Patriots Captain): "Bitter-sweet. We have to wait and see until the next game against Guyana. Credit to the boys for the fight. All-round effort, probably didn't make enough runs but it turned out to be enough in the end. I thought we were at least 15-20 runs short, we lost wickets in the middle. Overall, in the campaign, the batters left runs short when we could have cashed in. If this is it, hopefully next year, we could have come back better with the bat.

The wicket of Rovman (Powell) was crucial. Having said that, Rassie (van der Dussen),  )(Daniel) Sams and (Chris) Green were also capable of finishing the match. Glad to get over the line. I wouldn't say I have done a lot different. Maybe, just a little more clear. I prefer being clear than failing with a cluttered mind. Thanks to the crowd, they were exceptional. Unfortunately, had to spoil the occasion for them but cricket is the winner."
Rovman Powell (Barbados Royals Captain): "The game sums up the emotions. It's been a disappointing season. To be honest, things are difficult, and I have no words. We bowled well today, that's the only positive.

At the halfway stage, we were pleased, but it's just a case of batters batting till the end. We kept meandering, and credit to Holder & co. for fighting till the end. I should have gone a little bit deeper; I take a bit of a blame, too.

It's also a case of presenting the Royals franchise and the people of Barbados with pride. We have a game against Trinbago tomorrow, and hopefully we can win that one."
Time for the post-match presentation..
Jason Holder (Player of the Match): "It was about keeping my composure. I gave away a six off the first ball, under normal circumstances it would have been pressure but it was just about executing. I step over the line to win cricket games. I talked about the purpose to the boys.

We had to fight really hard to win the game. We were perhaps short but we managed it with the ball. Just over the moon to get the team across the line. This is my favourite ground in the world. didn't do it for the Royals but the Patriots this time. Just thankful for the fans for supporting us. We have an up and down campaign, grateful for the support."
Jason Holder has been named as the 'Player of the Match'.
8:16 AM IST, 10:46 PM Local Time | St Kitts & Nevis Patriots break the hearts of Barbados Royals as they eliminate the Men in Pink from CPL 2025! The Jason Holder-led side beat them by 1 run!

Barbados Royals won the toss and elected to field first! After an initial collapse from the St Kits & Nevis top order, skipper Jason Holder scored a magnificent, and unbeaten 53 runs. He established a crucial 74-run stand with Bidaisse (30) to take his team's total to 150/7 at the end of their 20 overs.

For Barbados Royals, Eathan Bosch was the best bowler with 3/26 from his 3 overs. While Chris Green and Daniel Sams chipped in with a couple of wickets each.

Come the chase, Brandon King provided the early aggression with 29 runs off 22 balls, but he threw away his wicket to Waqar Salamkheil in the final over of the powerplay.

Things did not take a turn for the worse, as Quinton de Kock labored for his 22 runs from 22 balls, and Sherfane Rutherford (25), along with Rovman Powell (16), played handy knocks to keep their team within touching distance. However, with wickets falling in the slog overs, things got a bit nervy for Barbados Royals.

They needed 14 runs off the final over, and Rassie van der Dussen was the last man standing for them! A first ball six helped matters, but Holder pulled things back in an emphatic way, as a yorker on the final ball dismissed Sams and handed St Kitts & Nevis Patriots the game by a solitary run!

Jason Holder, Waqar Salamkheil, and Navin Bidaisee all picked up a couple of wickets each to help their team to a victory!

Barbados Royals came so close to keeping their hopes alive, but in the end, all they are faced with is introspection and a will to do better next season.
