So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentator, Saptak Sanyal as we wrap up the proceedings of this fixture. A note of thanks to our scorer, Ghanendra Singh Thakur as well. Do stay tuned to our network and join us for a lot more cricketing action later on Sunday!
Nicholas Pooran (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "First three games have been amazing. The win matters the most to us. I think when you walk into this stadium, you are fine. You walk for the Reds and it is good to get the support.

I think the victory is still not without perfection. Our bowling has been good. Then Colin Munro and Alex Hales scored the runs. Then Russell and Polly hit the balls to bring the victory. Really happy for the two points.

Now our goal is to keep the fans entertained for the rest of the tournament. We know it is a long way to go. Only halfway in the tournament. But now we want to focus on our recovery and come back for the next game."
Imran Tahir (Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "We gave them a good fight, pleased with that. There were a few things we didn't do well, conditions obviously weren't in our control. We were soft in the Powerplay and that has been the case for the last few games. We try to do different things, that is why we sent (Gudakesh) Motie to open against Akeal Hosein. It didn't work but you have to take a gamble at some point.

Last year, we won three games away and then at home we did well. We are not taking anything for granted. Really looking forward to the game against Barbados, hopefully we give a good fight."
Akeal Hosein (Player of the Match): "I think sticking to the process helped. It was passing through outside edge and inside edge and then you know that you are in the game.

The first celebration is related to an incident in our camp. The crowd support means everything. When they turn up and chant for the team, it is a great thing. There can be no better 12th man for your team.

The good thing about us as a team is that we are not willing to let go any opportunity. We grab everything that comes in our way. This is the beauty of this team."

08:26 AM IST, 10:56 PM Local Time: Dre Russ shows off his muscle as TKR get home once again with a superb 6-wicket win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in front of a passionate home crowd. The opening pair of Alex Hales and Colin Munro pretty much sealed the chase even though Guyana’s captain, Imran Tahir fought hard with a four-wicket haul.

In the beginning, Imran Tahir’s decision to start with spin from both ends back-fired badly as TKR raced off to 58/0 at the end of four overs. Shamar Joseph came into the attack and created a chance soon off Colin Munro but Quentin Sampson parried the ball over the fence for a maximum. TKR went onto finish the Powerplay with 77/0 but the carnage didn’t die down even after the field spread out.

Munro registered his fifty off 25 balls while Hales also got to the same milestone at the end of the 9th over. Things continued to get worse for Guyana with Hetmyer parrying a catching opportunity over the fence off Hales’ bat much to Hassan Khan’s disappointment. At the half-way mark, TKR needed 49 runs off 60 balls but Tahir produced a magical over by dismissing the trio of Munro, Nicholas Pooran and Keacy Carty.

TKR found themselves nervously prodding around for the next few overs while Hassan Khan dropped a chance off Hales at backward point in the 14th over. Tahir came back into the attack in the very next over and got a fourth scalp as Hales found the safe hands of Ben McDermott at deep mid-wicket. Tahir potentially had a fifer and a hat-trick but Andre Russell survived a close stumping opportunity. With Tahir finishing his spell, the star duo of Russell and Kieron Pollard ensured no further hiccups. Russell, in particular, smacked three massive sixes including the winning hit as TKR got home with 10 balls to spare.

Earlier in the match, Guyana Amazon Warriors came up with an experiment by sending Gudakesh Motie as an opener. The move didn't work though Mohammad Amir removed him for 1 off 7 balls in the third over. In the next over, Akeal Hosein got the better of Ben McDermott while Terrance Hinds also forced Moeen Ali to drag one onto the stumps in the final over off the Powerplay.

On his CPL debut, Hassan Khan started positively but was soon strangled before Akeal had him caught at backward point in the 9th over. Shimron Hetmyer struck a six off his very first ball but he tried another maximum and perished in the process as Akeal ended up with three scalps. Then, there was a mini partnership between Shai Hope and Romario Shepherd as Guyana looked to get back on track. Yet, Sunil Narine dealt a hammer blow to them by castling Shepherd's middle stick in the 14th over while Shai Hope got hit-wicket off Terrance Hinds' bowling to send Guyana into further trouble. On CPL debut, Quentin Sampson struggled to get going for a while before he exploded along with Dwaine Pretorius as the duo helped Guyana to end up with a respectable 163/9 at the end of 20 overs.
