Imran Tahir (Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "We had a camp before we came into the competition. Our overseas players were also there. Ben (McDermott) did well last game, the others took responsibility this time. Shai Hope, Hetty (Shimron Hetmyer) and it was wonderful to see (Romario) Shepherd also doing well tonight.

(On their electric fielding) It is the result of the fielding coach. We put our body on the line. Even against St Kitts, we were good in the field. Thank you very much, personally I am happy. At that time (when he came onto bowl), they were in a good position. I tried to put the ball on a good line and length. Very pleased it came out well."
Imad Wasim (Antigua & Barbuda Falcons Captain): "The intent was there, but we lost too many wickets. And to be honest, that was an Imran Tahir special. Can't do anything about it, but the way we played, the way we started off, if we had wickets in hand, we would have taken it deeper, and then anything could have happened at that time. Always stay positive. And if we don't learn from our mistakes, then for the next game we have to adapt.

We have to be very smart about it. Who do we take on, and who do we not? And losing wickets in clusters might cost you games in a run chase. So that is the only thing concerning.

But Imran Tahir special was Imran Tahir's special. Day games suit us. We have a very good side. We have a very good bowling unit, although it was a bit wet today. But before that and in the first overs, we were in the game. To be honest, Shepherd, Hetmyer, and Hope played really, really well, so sometimes you have to give credit to the team as well."
Imran Tahir (Player of the Match): "First of all, I feel really proud especially getting the 'Player of the Match. To be honest with you, we had a good start. We knew if we get to 170 with the team we have, this target has never been chased here. Pleased everything went well for me and the team.

In T20 cricket, you have to be on it from ball 1. That is what I try to do everytime I put on this jersey. I am grateful to the Guyanese fans. As I always say, it is hard-work. We had rest but we also had 3 hard sessions with the same kind of humidity. Hopefully, we carry on like this."
Imran Tahir has been named as the 'Player of the Match'.
8:59 AM IST & 11:29 PM Local Time: Guyana Amazon Warriors outclass Antigua & Barbuda Falcons by a whopping margin of 83 runs to hand them their first defeat at home this season. Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer set it up with the bat and then the skipper Imran Tahir ran through the batting line-up of the Falcons to give his team a massive win.

Earlier in the match, Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost Ben McDermott early in the piece. However, Kevlon Anderson and Shai Hope steadied the ship with a slow but solid partnership of 55 runs for the 2nd wicket.

22 off 25. Shimron Hetmyer replaced him in the middle and went after the bowlers straightaway. His aggressive approach rubbed off on Hope, who too accelerated and took the attack to the opposition.

Hope registered his 12th CPL fifty and fell just 18 runs short of his century. Hetmyer continued to smash the bowlers all over the park and remained not out on 65 off 26. Romario Shepherd also chipped in with a fine cameo of 25 off 8 balls to take the Guyana Amazon Warriors to 211/3 in 20 overs.

Obed McCoy, Imad Wasim and Jayden Seales picked up one wicket each for the Falcons. In reply, they lost Rahkeem Cornwall in the first over.

Dwaine Pretorius then removed Jewel Andrew as well in his next over. Romario Shepherd picked up two wickets, removing Karima Gore and Bevon-John Jacobs.

Imran Tahir brought himself into the attack and picked up two wickets in his first over without conceding a run.

He picked up another wicket in his next over. The 46-year-old had to wait till his final over to pick up his fifth one and finished with his best figures in T20s — 5/21. Antigua & Barbados Falcons were bowled out 128.
