11:35 PM IST, 11:05 PM local time | Hussain Talat collects the trophy and his teammates join him to pose with it. Celebrations all-around the Lahore Blues camp.
Hussain Talat (Lahore Blues captain): "Credit goes to the team. The way we executed. We used to talk before every game that the first six overs with the bat and with the ball are important. That is where we did well. Also, the fielding effort was excellent. Whenever you save a likely boundary, it motivates the bowler further. We were not sure of how the wicket will play, but it worked out well. The bowlers bowled in the right areas and the batters batted well."
Iftikhar Ahmed (Peshawar Region Captain): "First of all I would like to congratulate Lahore for the brand of cricket they played. We had a simple plan to post 150 as it wasn't an easy wicket to bat. But we had a lot of young players who will only learn from these sort of situations.
The way Umar Siddique played, he took the game away from us. We had a belief that we can restrict them to this total but his innings didn't give us any chance at all."
Sahibzada Farhan (Player of the Tournament): "Only this trophy I missed out, achieved everything else. Had we won the finals, it would been brilliant. The pitch was a bit different. The bowlers did not bowl in my strong areas. I have worked hard. I would love to thank the people who have helped me in my preparations."
Player of the Tournament: Sahibzada Farhan
Salman Mirza (Player of the Match): "The coaching staff told us to keep things simple. Hit the right areas even if you go for runs, keep the process simple. The way the wicket was playing and the kind of coaching staff we had, they read the pitches well and it allowed us to deliver the kind of performances which we were able to put on."
11:22 PM IST & 10:52 PM Local Time: Time for the post-tournament presentation.
