That's it from our coverage of the first Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe from Sylhet. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay tuned for more coverage from around the world.
Craig Ervine (Zimbabwe Captain): "It was a sporting wicket. For the bowlers there was always some assistance. It was really tricky for both sides to navigate.

It was really special batting performance. The little contributions from the players. The youngsters were quite passionate. The way Brian Bennett and Ben Curran started for us, set the platform for the chase.

Blessing was outstanding. He's been a stalwart of the bowling attack for a long time. Brilliant catch from Nyauchi to start for us.

It seems to be a ground that we enjoy. The last time we played here we won as well. We haven't played in the conditions much and kudos to the youngsters who took the pressure of chasing in the 4th innings."
Blessing Muzarabani (Player of the Match): "The conditions actually worked in my favor, so I kept things simple, focused on my process, and just stuck to my plan. I think Nyauchi, Ngarava, and all the spinners bowled really well—both in the first and second innings. I felt like I could’ve added some runs too, just to go out and attack more.

But overall, it was great from the guys—they really supported me out there. Last time we played a T20, I saw some brass, but this time it was definitely a bit more intense. Still, I was really happy to see it."
Player of the Match: Blessing Muzarabani
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "Wicket looked very good. We didn't bat well. The shot selection proved costly.

We bowled well. We stuck them to 273 but we didn't start well. But did very well to comeback and take the wickets.

Mehidy has the experience and bowls a tidy line and length over and over. Hopefully he will continue the same in the next match.

It is disappointing. In Test cricket, those who get set needs to score big but we didn't do that and that's why we lost the game.

Credit goes to Miraj and Taijul, they bowled really well in the last one and a half hour showing character. We will carry this kind of fight in the next match."
