So that marks the end of our coverage from the 19th match of the ongoing PSL between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. The Qalandars completely outclassed the United!
Good bye from us. This is Arjun Bhalla signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Hiren Kumar, Saptak Sanyaland our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer.
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): "Thanks to Almighty for the performances. Everybody is chipping in, which is brilliant, but we still need to fill in the voids. When we saw the wicket, we understood that it was a used wicket.
We decided to back ourselves to play cricketing shots, as in the last game, very few cricketing shots were played. We were sure if we backed ourselves to play good cricketing shots, then we could get to 170-180 runs, but credit should be given to Sikandar Raza and Sam Billings.
(On getting the best XI) No, I don't think so, but whoever is getting a chance is giving their 100%, and that's what a good team does."
Sikandar Raza (Player of the Match):"I enjoy both batting and bowling. It is important to contribute to the win. For me, I train for a situation and it does not really matter what number I am batting and it does not bother me. We found out there was some bounce on offer yesterday. Today, it was not that bouncy but there some variable bounce. We thought 180 would be a good score but we ended up above 200 so very happy. Thank you."
Player of the Match: Sikandar Raza
Super Power of the Day: Sam Billings
Jason Holder gets the Fazal Mahmood Cap for becoming the highest wicket taker of the PSL 2025 so far.
