So that marks the end of our coverage of the match between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. The hosts have outdone the visitors and got a crucial victory in the context of the tournament. Tomorrow in the 17th match of the league, Quetta Gladiators will face Peshawar Zalmi. Do join us for that game.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arjun Bhalla and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer who brought all the actions to you. Good night!
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): "I think it looked like the wicket would play in the bowlers' favour, but it started to come good on the bat after the first two overs. Credit should be given to Tom Curran for bowling like he did. We felt that they would get to the 200-run mark, but we were able to put the brakes on runs in the middle phase.
During the mid-innings, Sikandar (Raza) had a chat with the team. He said that the ball is coming brilliantly on the bat. The batters planned the chase, and they proved themselves right.
Of course, we have won two consecutive finals here in front of our home crowd. They have been brilliant, they always back us. I would want everything to go in the right direction from here. You learn after every game. I think we should have bowled a bit better. I think we should be bowling more at good lengths and try of building partnerships."
Daryl Mitchell (Player of the Match):"Look I think there was grass. Grass made the pitch a bit double paced. Partnerships were needed to get a go in this pitch. The partnership with Raza was good. A good fun time.
Job at number 4 is to adopt to different conditions. I am glad that the things have gone right for me with the execution."
