So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentators, Arjun and Pritam as we wrap up the coverage of this 3rd and final Test between the West Indies and Australia. A word of thanks to our scorer, Yogesh Kumar as well. Do stay tuned to our coverage of a lot more cricketing action later in the day.
Pat Cummins (Australia Captain): "This match was madness. But throughout this series, all matches could have gone anywhere. It was a difficult series for batters.
(On Mitchell Starc) Today, he showed why he is regarded so highly. Very lucky to have him on our side.
(On Scott Boland) You know what he can do. He bowled three classic deliveries onto the stumps and got his maiden. We know he's quality when he comes in.
(On Australia's batting in this series) You know, the conditions were hard for batters. But in this game, we got a couple of 40s from the batter, and they were equal to 80-90 (on any other wicket). We will look back and think of how we could have found ways to get more runs, but overall, I am happy with this performance."
Roston Chase (West Indies Captain):"It is heart-breaking to come out like this where we could have won the game but then ended up with this batting display. It is quite easy to assess. The bowlers kept us in this series from the beginning, the batting never showed up.
The next series for us is quite a while away, so we have time on our hands. So, we can look at where we can improve. India is going to be different conditions, probably more suited to spin bowling. So, if we can have camps for those conditions, it will be useful.
(About their pace attack) I would like to congratulate them. Whenever I called them, they were willing to give their best. I want them to bask in their success a little but don't want to rest on it completely."
Mitchell Starc (POTM & POTS): "Yeah, it worked out pretty well for me. It was a fantastic series, the batting conditions were difficult. It has been a very enjoyable few days, and I will go home with a smile on my face.
We saw yesterday that the conditions are helpful, with the wind coming in and lateral movement on present. We just had to bowl on the money and the conditions would have done its trick.
(On Scott Boland) He is just amazing. He would have played so many Tests in any other team. He never disappoints and shows what a wonderful Test bowler he is.
(On WI quicks) They have really shown their class with pace, skill and consistency. Shamar and Jayden were consistent throughout the series. Alzarri, we saw last night as well as throughout his career."
Player of the Match and Player of the Series: Mitchell Starc
Scott Boland (Australia): "(On taking his first hat-trick in Tests) Yeah first one, I was a bit nervous bowling that. Amazing feeling, Starcy (Mitchell Starc) set us up there. Didn't expect all the wickets in the first session. But Starcy taking three wickets in the first over was unbelievable. Happy to start off well and to get a few wickets. Unreal for him to get his 400th wicket in his 100th Test is pretty special. We see how hard he works and maintains his fitness."
