So the Sunrisers Hyderabad join the likes of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals becoming the 3rd team to be eliminated from the race of the playoffs! It all started well at home with Pat Cummins striking on the first ball getting good backing from the other seamers in Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel and Eshan Malinga to restrict the Delhi Capitals on 133/7 but the heavens broke loose meaning the Sunrisers could never get to the field to chase the modest total down. Each team shares a point each, SRH keep the number 8 spot with the Capitals holding to the 5th spot with 13 points to their name.

That's it from our coverage from the rain affected game, Pritam Dey, AkshayaKrishna Polya & Ninaad Dixit comprised of the commentary team with scores and statistics provided by Paras Yadav and Aman respectively. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
11:07 PM IST and Local Time: Delhi Capitals' skipper Axar Patel has been called by the match officials. Now, SRH captain, Pat Cummins, also comes in. Match called off due to wet outfield! Two captains shake hands and both teams share a point each! That is it! Sunrisers Hyderabad have been officially knocked out of the competition. They became the third franchise after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals to be eliminated from the playoffs race!
11:01 PM IST and Local Time: The on-field umpires are now out on the ground. Virender Sharma and Kannur Swaroopanand are asking the ground staff to speed things up, while Abhijit Bhattacharya comes towards them to have a word. The head groundsman, a couple of other support members and the umpires are involved in a chat before Virender Sharma, Kannur Swaroopanand, and Abhijit Bhattacharya inspect the outfield.

Daniel Vettori, a few SRH players and DC support staff are checking the outfield. A couple of blue covers come off.
Virender Sharma is not at all happy with the wet outfield.
10:56 PM IST and Local Time: Still plenty of work to do for the ground staff. There are a few puddles and big blue covers with water on them. Meanwhile, Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel, who is having coffee, are out on the field, while a few DC support staff are in their dugout. Munaf Patel and Hemang Badani are having a chat. Reserve umpire Abhijit Bhattacharya is having an intense word with one of the ground staff.

SRH will need 42 to win if the run chase gets curtailed to five overs!
10:34 PM IST and Local Time: One of the super soppers has entered the ground! Looks like the rain has eased out. Another super sopper enters the fray! Now, the super sopper starts to move around, mopping the excessive water on the outfield and the covers. No umbrellas around! Great news, folks! A conference between the match referee and two on-field umpires. Virender Sharma and Kannur Swaroopanand have a word with a few ground staff.

Phew! The rain has completely stopped, with the groundsmen starting to slowly remove the covers! For your information, we have already started losing overs. It is a daunting task for the groundsmen to prepare this outfield ready to play, at least for a five-over chase, but they are on it without losing any hope.
10:11 PM IST and Local Time: There is a mid-ground conference between the reserve umpire and a few other ground staff. Everyone is holding an umbrella, with the rain coming down heavily. Not a great sign, with Abhijit Bhattacharya walking away to his bunker. The water is flowing like a stream where there are no covers close to the sidelines. Plenty of puddles have formed! The cut-off time for a five-over run chase is 11:42 PM.
9:51 PM IST and Local Time: It continues to rain heavily in Hyderabad, with some puddles now forming on the outfield. The entire ground is under covers
