That is the end of an excellent game of cricket in Delhi, with an all-round performance from Kolkata Knight Riders, led by the veteran Sunil Narine, was more than enough to hand Delhi Capitals their third defeat in four matches at this venue this season. Tomorrow, we have the clash of the Kings, with CSK hosting PBKS at Chepauk.
For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Pritam Dey and Ajay Pal Singh, scorers/analysts Raju Khariya and Paras Yadav and the statistician Aman brought you all the live-action of this thrilling contest. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
Trivia: Since 2024, the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has hosted 9 IPL matches, with the teams batting first winning on 8 occasions. The only team to win batting second was Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who successfully chased down a target in the previous game against Delhi Capitals.
Sunil Narine (Player of the Match): "I think it was a total team effort. Gurbaz got us to a flying start and then Rahane and Rinku played good knocks during the middle phase.
No, I still back myself to make a comeback for my team. Despite not bowling well in the first two overs, I was just trying to back myself and make a comeback for the team no matter what.
I enjoyed all the wickets. All of them were crucial for the team. I enjoyed my entire spell and kudos to the entire bowling unit. We didn't do well in the past few games but executed our plan brilliantly tonight.
(On the run-out dismissal) Um, I think I am not the greatest fielder (laughs) but it's always good to get a run-out whenever it's possible. I just wanted to pick up and throw at the stumps as hard as possible.
I think probably self pride. I always want to give the captain an option to bowl me anytime when he wants. It comes with hard work and even without training much."

Ajinkya Rahane (KKR Captain): "(on his hand injury) I will be okay I think. I will be fine. I think after 13 overs when Sunil bowled those two overs and picked up two wickets. They lost quick wickets and that was the game for us. (Turning point of the match)
(Defending 204) 204 on that wicket was good but we were 15 runs short on that wicket. We were going well as a batting unit. As a fielding unit you were always 1 or 2 wickets away when the opposition is chasing 205. Sunil bowled well and Russell's one over in between and Anukul Roy as well.
(On Anukul Roy's selection) We thought in the history, left-arm spinners have done well. So let's back him. As I said at the toss, it is one game at a time for us. We don't want to think too far ahead.
(On taking inspiration from their 2021 run) That's always been the talk. It is in the past, we want to take confidence from this game and move forward.
(On Sunil Narine )He has been a champion bowler for us. He has done it on many occasions for us. Good to have him and Varun in the team. I can turn to them at any stage. I am happy for him, he has been working hard, bowling for hours and hours. Also working on his batting.
I think Dre (Andre Russell) is working hard on his bowling. He has been bowling yorkers well in the nets and we thought we can back him. Whenever he has bowled for us, he has picked up a wicket for us. Really happy for him as well."
Most Dot balls in the Match: Mitchell Starc (12 dots)
