KL Rahul showed his class and led from the front with a top-class batting display in a venue where he captained for three seasons. On the flip side, Rishabh Pant had a poor outing against his former franchise. However, Delhi Capitals bounced back to winning ways in style, with a performance that will surely boost their confidence.

They continue to remain comfortably in 2nd spot on the points table. As for LSG, they have a lot to ponder. While theyโ€™re still in 5th place, their performance tonight was far from their best. They were outplayed by a clinical Delhi side, and theyโ€™ll need to make several adjustments going forward if they are to challenge for the playoffs.

We go back to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium tomorrow as the Sunrisers Hyderabad take on the Mumbai Indians. For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide & Ninaad Dixit who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE๐Ÿ‘‹

Mukesh Kumar (Player of the Match): "I am feeling really good. I loved bowling on this wicket. When I came to bowl the 2nd over, I had a chat with Chameera and Starc I got to know that the ball was stopping a bit. I just wanted to bowl length to length and also use my variations.

I always have a chat with the skipper. He was suggesting me to bowl in a particular length. He suggested me to bowl slower deliveries in between and I did exactly that.

(Which was his favourite wicket tonight?) Um, the most important wicket was of Mitchell Marsh because he was set in the middle and he would go hard. So, it was very important to get his wicket for my team.

Regarding this match, I am really happy. I wanted to perform like this for my team. It wasn't happening in the first half of the season but it happened tonight. I want to carry forward with this performance."

Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "It was an up and down game. We didn't take wickets in the powerplay but restricted the score. We were talking about picking up a couple of wickets here and there. Every bowler bowled brilliantly to pull things back.

[On his own bowling] I started in the first over itself being the captain. I was nursing a finger injury so didn't bowl as much. Feeling a lot better now and then bowled in the powerplay. Bowling 4 on the trot is easy when you are feeling a good rhythm.

I was looking at the match-ups as well and the behaviour of the wicket. I used the pacers looking at the boundary size. When Pooran arrived, I remembered Starc getting him out in the previous game and called him to bowl at him.

[On batting at number 4] I bat according to the situation. I attack the bowler according to my strengths. I am clear in my thought process. Whenever I promote myself, I look at the bowlers in the other side and target them. Getting success so far, I hope it continues.

[Areas of concern] We can do better as a fielding unit. You can have an off day in batting or bowling but we are dropping catches in almost every game. Bowlers get frustrated when such chances go down at crucial stages. Despite that lapse we managed to restrict them below 160."
