Milestone
What a day for KL Rahul and Delhi Capitals. Plays a match-winning innings at his home ground and silences the Bengaluru crowd. Deep down, there will be some people who smile seeing their local boy, KLR, coming on top with a superb knock. DC remain unbeaten in the tournament with four consecutive wins, while RCB lose their second game at home, having won three matches away.

Tomorrow, we have CSK taking on KKR at Chepauk with the legend MS Dhoni back at the helm in Ruturaj Gaikwad's absence. Also, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 begins tomorrow with the defending champions, Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Pritam Dey, who, alongside our scorers Paras Yadav, Raju Khariya and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman, brought you all the live-action of this blockbuster. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
KL Rahul averages 71.05 in successful run chases in IPL. This stat is based on the batters with 500-plus runs in successful run chases. Rahul is only behind David Miller, who has the highest average of 103.70 in successful run chases with 1037 runs.
KL Rahul (Player of the Match): "It was a slightly tricky wicket, but being behind the stumps for 20 overs helped me to know how the wicket played. The ball sat in the wicket a little bit but it was consistent, not two-paced. I wanted to get a good start, be aggressive initially and assess it from there, and that's what I did.

[Shots to avoid here] It depends on the ground dimensions and all that stuff. But I knew what my pockets to target, if I was going big first. I knew where to target, and as a keeper, I followed where the batters found fielders and where they hit sixes. Got lucky with the dropped catch, and yeah, this is my home ground, I know this better than anyone else, always enjoy playing here.

Whenever I go into practice, whatever kind of wicket that is, I try to adapt to that wicket and see how I feel. If it's a wicket that is turning, I'll see where my shots are, what my shots are. I experiment in practice and get out a couple of times, but at least it'll give me a fair idea where I can target what areas for boundaries. I've always done that whenever I've walked in for training. It's always like, how can I master playing on different wickets, and that becomes 2nd nature to you."

Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "When we won 3 games on the trot, I had a thought of why not winning 4 games on the trot (laughs). The team is performing really well and everyone looks confident.

We talk about match-ups quite often. RCB love to face fast bowlers in the powerplay so I was thinking of bowling the fast bowlers less in the powerplay. When I bowled, there was a bit of extra bounce and the ball was holding in the surface. So, that's why I thought of bowling spinners in the powerplay. 19th over was a tactical move which backfired at that moment but we won the game now so that's okay now (laughs).

(On Vipraj Nigam) Yes obviously. Vipraj has been bowling really well in domestic cricket for a long time but in the IPL it's different pressure. He looks confident and he gives me a lot of confidence that I can give him the ball anytime.

(On KL Rahul) I think, he makes things pretty easy for me. As a batter, when your position changes, it's never easy but the way he adapts is fabulous. For me, having a player like him is very important for us. I played a rash shot and got out but he stitched a crucial partnership with Stubbs and also finished off the game for us. Since the Champions Trophy, he is in red hot form."
