Vaibhav Arora (Player of the Match): "Well, I am prepared from before. The management always informs me from before whether I will go in as the impact sub or not. I try to assess the conditions and then bowl accordingly.
In the 5th and 6th over, the ball doesn't swing that much so you need to bowl cutters. The wicket was gripping tonight so the cutters were important in that situation. When the bowl was not swinging, I sometimes try yorkers as well.
We try to plan on every batters in the team meeting. Once we step into the field, we try to execute exactly that.
(On Varun and Narine) Our plan is simple, we try to bowl our best in the powerplay and then we know that we have the best spinners in the world who can bowl outside the powerplay. We always try to pick 2-3 wickets in the powerplay so that it becomes easier for them."

Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain): "This game was very important for us. Winning by a big margin was very crucial. Even we wanted to bowl first but the discussion after losing the openers was to consolidate the 6 overs, play cricketing shots with intent. If we have wickets in hand, guys down the order can go big. We learnt a lot from our mistakes and such things happen. This is a great example for us as a batting unit to learn and take it forward.
[Chat during 1st timeout] Chat during when Rinku and Venkatesh were batting was to get 50-60 runs in the last 5 overs. Dre, Ramandeep and Moeen were ready in the dugout.
[SRH's power hitters and message to bowlers] Initially we thought 170 would be a good total. Thanks to Rinku and Venkatesh we got 30 runs extra. We had 3 quality spinners, sadly Moeen couldn't bowl tonight but Varun and Sunil bowled really well. Credit goes to Vaibhav and Harshit as well bowling those difficult overs in the powerplay. Especially Vaibhav picking up those 2 wickets was amazing."
