That is the end of the Women's Hundred 2025, with Northern Superchargers lifting their maiden title. A complete team effort from the Superchargers as they take revenge for their heartbreak in 2023. Southern Brave have lost three of the four finals they were part of in the Women's Hundred. They dominated the show throughout the league phase, but stumbled when it mattered the most.
Now, all the focus shifts to the Men's Hundred finale, as the Oval Invincibles take on Trent Rockets in pursuit of a historic three-peat. Stay tuned with us. For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. We will meet again. Until then, it is cheers!
Football champion Hannah Hampton presents the winners' medals to Northern Superchargers Women players. The Superchargers get on the podium and celebrate with the trophy. Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland pose with the cutout of Georgia Wareham. Incredible scenes at the Lord's Cricket Ground.
Lucy Higham sprints off to get the cut-out of Georgia Wareham. She brings it out with her and joins the team celebrations.
Hollie Armitage (Northern Superchargers Women Captain): "Fantastic. We played some fantastic cricket, but congrats to Georgia Adams and her team too, they played some excellent cricket.
Grace Ballinger has set the tone in most of the games by picking up wickets early on with the new balls. So many players contributed to us. I can name all my players. I am happy to be sharing this moment with them.
This has a special space in my career."
Nicola Carey (POTM): "Yeah, I have been here for only a short period of time but it has been unbelievable. The whole group is amazing, so it was so easy to come in the middle of the tournament.
Not easy, we probably had 4 weeks of pre-season. It showed in the first couple of games, but everyone was so welcoming and I have had a great couple of weeks.
Look, to bat with Bellsy (Sutherland), I feel our bowlers did an incredible job. We got lucky with the rain, the ball came on nicely after that. I feel great to be standing here."
Player of the Final: Nicola Carey
Phoebe Litchfield (MVP of Women's Hundred): "Surprised. But, if you told me a month ago, we would be lifting the trophy and I have this in my hand, I probably would not have believed you. So, it has been an awesome month. Credit to the girls.
To be honest, our bowlers have won us the tournament. We have had a lot of chases, where we did not have to go ballistic. I mean, they have won the games for us by bowling great line and lengths.
The experience of as an Aussie coming over. This is my favourtie team to play for. It has been such a blast. It is pinch-me stuff. It is pretty epic.
No chance to go to the Leeds as I have to get back to Australia tomorrow morning. Definitely, next year hopefully."
