A dominant win from Northern Superchargers Women to wrap up the double-header Wednesday in the Women's Hundred 2025. It was pleasure bringing you all the updates from this day. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Phoebe Litchfield (Hero of the Match): "Yeah, I think that one stung for us (loss to the Originals). We got ourselves to a winning position but failed to get over the line. We wanted to rectify that situation and come out with a win today out here.
Yeah, I think when Annabel came to the middle, we just knew that we had to stitch a partnership, get used to the surface and then shift gears from there.
We weren't far off in our last game. The girls bowled really well. They pretty much won us the game in the 1st innings itself. They made it really easy for the batters, who could play two extra dot balls.
Those shots (switch hit/reverse sweep) are fully pre-meditated. I just try to get into a good position and then play according to the line and length of the ball. Something I want to learn is that, how I can bail out after changing my stance."

9:42 PM IST, 5:12 PM Local Time: Thatās it. Northern Superchargers Women get back to winning ways by beating London Spirit comprehensively by 8 wickets at the āHome of Cricketā. This is their fourth win in this yearās competition and they move up to the second spot in the points table with this dominant win. The Spirit Women, meanwhile, suffer their second loss, with both their losses coming at home.
Chasing a modest total of 91, the Superchargers Women got off to a shaky start. Their openers Davina Perrin (4) and Alice Davidson-Richards (0) departed cheaply. Phoebe Litchfield at three came out all guns blazing and scored at a brisk rate. She received excellent support from her fellow Australian Annabel Sutherland as both kept the home side at bay and took their stand past 50.
Litchfield played some amazing strokes and brought up her fifty off just 35 balls. Sutherland at the other end also played aggressively as the Australian pair finished things off in style with an unbeaten stand of 76 off just 50 balls. Litchfield and Sutherland remained unbeaten on 55 and 29 respectively as the Superchargers Women chased down the total in 66 balls with eight wickets in hand.
Earlier, the Spirit Women opted to bat first and lost Kira Chathli (0) and Cordelia Griffith (1) inside the powerplay. Georgia Redmayne and Charli Knott tried to rebuild the innings but the latter fell after a scratchy 16-ball 11. Nicola Carey dismissed Grace Harris (7) and Danielle Gibson (0) on consecutive deliveries to derail the Spiritās progress.
Redmayne held the innings from one end before falling on a run-a-ball 29 on the 65th ball. Charlie Dean (12) and Isabelle Wong (24*) put a 33-run stand to take the Spirit Women to 90/8 at the end of their innings. Annabel Sutherland (3/20), Grace Ballinger (2/12), Nicola Carey (2/17) and Kate Cross (1/20) were the wicket-takers for the visitors. The pair of Litchfield and Sutherland made short work of the chase to complete a dominant win for the Superchargers Women.
