It hasn't been the homestretch that UP Warriorz were hoping for. They have been on the receiving end of some thrashing in the two games they have played in their own backyard and now, need to rely on other results to make it to the playoffs. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have moved to the second spot on points table with this win. From here on, things will have to go really bad for them to not make it to the next round.
Hayley Matthews (Player of the Match): "I think this is probably the best I have batted in the tournament thus far. I scored another fifty but that was a bit scratchy. We talked about them being a good powerplay side. So we were pretty calm even when they were scoring runs. It was a good pitch to bowl my off spin and later on as the dew came down batting became a lot easier."

Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians Women Captain): "Yeah, I think they batted really well. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the conditions. We knew we needed one wicket and we were waiting for that opportunity. That came at the right time.
Kerr is always looking to get wickets. She bowled really well today and gave us crucial wickets.
We are quite flexible. We know this tournament is getting in the main part. We have to perform really well. We went with what was best for us.
I think if you see, we tried to stay together. Today was also the day where we came together and tried to contribute for the team."
