The Delhi Capitals are on a roll in the Women's Premier League becoming the first team to confirm a top-3 finish in the league phase. On that note it's time to say goodbye as our coverage comes to an end. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Shafali Verma (Player of the Match): "It's a great feeling to make my team win and even happier to know we have topped the table.

In the first 2-3 overs the ball was moving so I tried to keep myself calm. Me and JJ were talking well and focusing on taking singles and hit the loose balls for boundaries. I didn't play pre determined strokes. I will look to continue doing well for the team.

As an individual I wanted to take the game ahead chasing the low score. I wanted to hit the ball off the middle of the bat. If it was a 180- run target I would have smashed the ball hard in the powerplay a bit more."
Player of the Match: Shafali Verma
Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals Women Captain): "Back-to-back games. We wanted to come back here tonight and continue the momentum we built last night. We weren't probably at our best in the field but the energy we brought in the last 2 games has been fantastic.

It was just starting again today and bring that same energy from last night. It can be easy sometimes. It can happen for you on a roll. Everyone turned out today with great mindset. We knew we had to beat RCB and certainly very happy with the performance.

We took some good early wickets which put the brakes on the teams. We have been consistent with the wickets through the innings as well. That's very important to be able to hold teams back. It's a different person each game which is very helpful that we don't rely on 1 or 2 players and that's really been one of the strengths this season.

Jess has done an excellent job. She has come in and played beautifully. Really taken the pressure off. Playing with freedom and express herself. She is certainly putting her hand up to keep doing it.

It will be nice to chill for a couple of days and then travel to Lucknow and get back into training before the last round game. You don't want to muck around things. You want to keep improving and keep the momentum going."
Jess Jonassen (Delhi Capitals Women): "It was a lesson in slogging in the leg side. In all fairness it is nice to have someone like Shafali down the other end. I think the left hand-right hand combination worked again. Didn't allow the RCB bowlers to set on that line. They missed a little bit straight to me at times and with a slightly shorter boundary I managed to capitalise.

Having Shafali at the other end, being able to watch on the sidelines as well and having bowled equally as well. Knew there will be a bit of shape early. The wicket was holding a fraction so knew that we just needed to play nice and straight and equally not to panic. We were a little behind in the first few overs but we were able to being level at where RCB were at the end of their powerplay.

I just kept reminding her to be smart, she kept reminding me to go straight. She's a quality ball striker. Matter for her is picking the right ball to do that and she did that exceptionally well tonight and I always love batting with her.

We are building perfectly. Tonight was pretty challenging having to back-up after last night. We were a bit sloppy than we would have been liked to. Charani coming in on debut. She's got incredible control."
Smriti Mandhana (RCB Women Captain): "Yeah, I think Pez batted really well to help us reach around 145 runs. We definitely could have had a better start, including from myself. But looking at the conditions in the first innings, I still feel that 145 was a good effort.

Yeah, I think the wicket played a bit on the slower side. Of course, it was the fourth match on the same surface. But I think we could have adapted better to the conditions. We knew it was going to be the fourth match on this pitch, but unfortunately, we just couldn't adjust as well as we needed to.

Raghvi, just 20 years old, gave it her all, though we hadn’t initially planned for that. On this wicket, you usually send in your power-hitters, but we backed Raghvi to go for the big shots, and the way she finished her innings was a positive for her. Renuka has been outstanding across the six matches, consistently bowling the tough powerplay overs for us. Hopefully, we can support her better going forward.

With a week off before our next match, there’s plenty of time for reflection. That’s how cricket goes. It’s a tough one for the fans—they turned up in huge numbers to support us. We’re truly sorry we couldn’t secure a home win, but we have to move forward.

A massive thank you to the crowd for their unwavering support. Even now, they’re still chanting ‘RCB’ in the stands. We hope to give them something better in the next two matches."
10:29 PM: The Delhi Capitals are the first team to qualify for the WPL Playoffs sealing their place with their 5th win in 7 games. A comprehensive victory against RCB by nine wickets and 27 balls to spare.

Delhi captain Meg Lanning won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. Ellyse Perry starred with an unbeaten 60 off 47 balls with Raghvi Bist anchoring the innings with 33 in 32. Brilliant spells from Marizanne Kapp (1/18), Shikha Pandey (2/24), Annabel Sutherland (0/27) and Nallapureddy Charani (2/28) held the RCB total down to 147/5.

The chase didn't start off as DC would have liked. Lanning struggled to get going and was the first batter to be dismissed hitting just 2 in 12 balls as the team managed just 5 runs in the first 3 overs.

Jess Jonassen joined Shafali Verma at the crease and things turned around for the Capitals as they scored 36 off the next 3 overs and finishing their powerplay at 41/1. Verma got going with early boundaries, Jonassen took her time before blasting the ball to all parts of the ground herself.

The pair added 146 runs without being separated and finished the game off in the 16th over. Shafali finished unbeaten on 80 in 43 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Jonassen hit 61 in 38 with 9 fours and a maximum.

Renuka Singh Thakur (4-1-28-1) was the pick of the bowlers. Kim Garth (0/25) and Georgia Wareham (0/21) tried their best to restrict the scoring in the powerplay and the middle overs respectively but RCB never had enough runs and failed to break the partnership that resulted in another big loss.
