1:37 AM IST & 9:10 PM Local Time: That’s the game! A dramatic finish as Durham seal the match with a team hat-trick to close things out in style. A complete performance from the hosts as they register a thumping 49-run win.

Earlier in the day, Nottinghamshire won the toss and put Durham in to bat, but the visitors got off to a flying start. Alex Lees and Graham Clark stitched a brisk 83-run opening stand, making full use of the Powerplay. Clark fell for 40 to Montgomery, but Durham kept the momentum going. Lees, anchoring from one end, added 65 more with Colin Ackermann as Nottinghamshire’s fielding woes continued with dropped catches and misfields. The skipper played a fine knock, scoring 77 off 48 balls before being dismissed by Olly Stone.

Ackermann then took charge in the death overs, smashing Montgomery for 32 runs in a single over. He followed it up with a brutal finish, adding 19 in the final over from Harrison. Although dismissed off the last ball, his 83 off just 33 balls was a game-changing effort. Durham ended with a daunting total of 231/5.

In reply, Nottinghamshire were rocked early with two quick wickets falling inside the Powerplay. Joe Clarke and Lyndon James then looked to rebuild, putting together a quick 44-run partnership for the third wicket while capitalizing on the fielding restrictions. However, the momentum was halted when Nathan Sowter was introduced into the attack and struck immediately, dismissing James for a brisk 30 off just 12 balls.

The chase never really took off for Nottinghamshire as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Matthew Montgomery played a valiant hand with a fiery 41 off just 18 balls, but with little support from the other end, the pressure kept mounting. Despite the required rate hovering below 11 runs per over, Durham held their nerve. The match came to a stunning close with a team hat-trick, as the hosts bowled out Nottinghamshire for 182. Kasey Aldridge was the star with the ball, bagging his maiden five-wicket haul and sealing a comprehensive 49-run win for Durham.

W GONEEEE!! It’s a team hat-trick for Durham! They win the contest by 49 runs! What a way to end this high-scoring encounter. Length ball at the stumps. Montgomery tries to be cheeky and looks to play the reverse scoop. Gets a top edge which balloons up in the air. The keeper takes a simple catch. Celebrations all-round as Durham win by 49 runs. It's also a maiden five-wicket haul for Aldridge!
