1:47 AM IST & 9:17 PM Local Time: It's Durham Derby Day Delight indeed! A commanding all-round performance sees Durham complete the double over Yorkshire in the T20 Blast 2025. They outplayed their rivals in every department and cruised to a massive 63-run win.

Dawid Malan won the toss and opted to field first, but Durham got off to a strong start with Graham Clark and Alex Lees adding 56 for the opening wicket. Lees looked fluent during his 40 before William O'Rourke struck to give Yorkshire a breakthrough.

Clark continued his fine form, notching up a composed 53 off 35 balls and anchoring the innings well. Colin Ackermann added a useful 28 off 19 to keep the momentum going in the middle overs. The real acceleration came from Jimmy Neesham, who smashed an unbeaten 42 off just 21 balls, including a couple of big sixes. Oliver Robinson offered steady support as Durham surged at the death.

They ended on a strong 193/4 in their 20 overs. William O'Rourke impressed for Yorkshire, picking up 3/37. In reply, Yorkshire got off to a steady start and needed one of their top-order batters to anchor the chase.

However, things didn’t go according to plan. Skipper Dawid Malan was the first to depart for 21, followed by Adam Lyth who looked promising but fell for 38. Jonny Bairstow couldn't convert his start either, managing just 19, as Yorkshire began to lose momentum in the middle overs. Yorkshire struggled to stitch together any meaningful partnership as wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals.

The spin duo of Nathan Sowter (2/22) and Callum Parkinson (2/29) did the damage once again, applying the squeeze in the middle overs and choking the run flow. Despite a brief resistance from Will Sutherland down the order, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. Yorkshire eventually folded for 130 in the 18th over, falling well short of the target and slumping to a heavy 63-run defeat.
