With this win, Leicestershire Foxes have now moved to the second spot in the points table. Meanwhile, Nottinghamshire Outlaws have slipped to the sixth. Both teams have a travel different paths from here on. The Outlaws go to Northampton to play another match in less than 24 hours time, whereas the Foxes have a two week break.

We hope that you enjoyed the coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. It is time for the troika of Darpan Tikiya, Deepak Prakash and Yogesh Kumar to sign off. Sayonara!
Louis Kimber (Leicestershire captain): "Great performance. I thought the way we bowled in the middle overs and then, at the end was awesome. Rehan was fantastic. I was pretty nervous before my first game. But I am loving it now. Everybody is understanding their roles better. It was easy batting with Rehan. He takes the pressure off you. But overall a great team performance."
Joe Clarke (Nottinghamshire captain): "We were probably short with the bat. Strong powerplay, but could not get going in the middle overs. We lost wickets at wrong times. Their powerplay was similar too but we could not take wickets in the middle."
Rehan Ahmed (Player of the Match): "I think I have got the opportunity to bat at 4 this year. I got a couple of 20s earlier, but I wanted to make more. Happy that I could today. I love my batting. I told myself that I would give myself some time today. I did not want to hit my brother for a six, because I did not want to get out to him."

1:44 AM IST, 9:14 PM local time: Leicestershire Foxes win by 4 wickets with 14 balls to spare.

Rehan Ahmed's maiden half-century is probably the aspect of this game that would be talked about the most. But in all fairness, it was his 2/32 and the overall bowling performance from the Foxes that helped them outfox the Outlaws. Nottinghamshire were 131/5 in 15 overs, after which they could not even manage to last till the end of the 20th over. The last 4.3 overs produced 25 runs and 5 wickets.

There was no dearth of intent from the visitors. Skipper Joe Clarke had once again set the tone with a sparkling knock at the top. Freddie McCann's purposeful cameo was also a treat to watch. However, neither could convert their starts into big scores. And that was the story of the entire innings. Just when you thought that the Outlaws were garnering steam, they would be pegged back.

Perhaps, the run out of Lyndon James — who was supposed to anchor the innings and enable everyone else to play their shots — was the turning point. Logan van Beek, who bowled the tough overs, returned a fantastic 3/15 from his 3.3 overs. Tom Scriven, who effected the aforementioned runout, also picked 2/18 off his 3.

Outlaws were definitely a few runs short. But a fantastic diving catch from Harrison, which put an end to Sol Budinger's blitzkrieg, had ignited flames of hopes. Alas, they could not follow it up with pressure building overs. Rehan Ahmed's sprightly fifty, Shan Masood's composed knock and later, captain Kimber's flashy innings took them marching towards the target. All of these men fell before the team crossed the finish line. However, for Nottinghamshire to pull things back from there was a bridge too far.

4 SLOG SWEEP! FOUR! FOXES WIN! Tossed up ball drifting into the middle and leg. Mike went down on a knee and hammered it to the square leg boundary. The hosts register a 4-wicket victory with plenty of time to spare.
