12:42 AM IST & 8:12 PM Local Time: That’s a dominant display from Worcestershire at home! They made light work of the 156-run target, chasing it down with 6 wickets in hand and 17 balls to spare. A clinical all-round performance sees them notch up a convincing win over Durham, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Worcestershire skipper Adam Hose won the toss and chose to bowl first under favourable conditions. Durham openers Graham Clark and Alex Lees got them off to a steady start, but momentum shifted as they lost Clark for 19 and Robinson for just 1 during the powerplay, leaving them on the back foot early.

Colin Ackermann and Will Rhodes tried to rebuild with a 32-run stand, but Ackermann’s dismissal for 21 halted their progress again. With wickets falling and the overs running out, Durham were struggling at 100/5. The sixth-wicket partnership between Rhodes and Ben Raine turned out to be vital, adding 41 important runs. Rhodes was the key contributor, anchoring the innings with a composed knock.

Rhodes remained unbeaten on 58 off 33 balls, taking Durham to a respectable 155/6. Matthew Waite impressed with the ball for Worcestershire, finishing with 2/20. In reply, Worcestershire got off to a flier with debutant Isaac Mohammed providing a sparkling start.

Isaac Mohammed played some eye-catching strokes before being dismissed for a brisk 32 off just 16 balls by Jimmy Neesham. At the other end, Jake Libby anchored the innings calmly, allowing the chase to stay on track. Kashif Ali chipped in with a handy 25 off 23 balls, keeping the momentum going. It was a collective batting effort that kept Worcestershire comfortably ahead in the chase.

Jake Libby (21 off 28) struggled to get going and found it tough to build any momentum. Meanwhile, Adam Hose (12* off 13) was happy to play second fiddle as Ethan Brookes stole the show with a scintillating knock. Brookes smashed a match-winning 51 off just 24 deliveries, turning the tide decisively in Worcestershire’s favour. His explosive innings ensured the hosts cruised to a crucial win at home with 17 balls to spare and 6 wickets in hand.

WD Banged it short into the wicket around middle and leg. Dwarshuis stands tall and looks to play the pull shot. Gets beaten. It was too short as the square leg umpire signals it a wide ball. That ends proceedings as Worcestershire win by 6 wickets!
