02:03 AM IST & 9:33 PM Local Time: That's the end of this encounter! Sussex stamped their authority with a clinical all-round performance to register a 27-run win over Glamorgan. The visitors maintained their strong momentum in the T20 Blast 2025, outplaying the hosts in all departments to walk away with yet another comprehensive victory.

Sussex won the toss and elected to bat first on a surface that looked good for stroke play. Their openers got off to a brisk start, with Harrison Ward scoring a quickfire 55 off 24 balls and Daniel Hughes contributing 25 off 22. The duo laid a solid foundation, and Sussex capitalized on it with aggressive middle-order batting. The innings was marked by clean hitting and smart running between the wickets, pushing the total to a competitive score.

John Simpson played a composed knock of 41 off 26 deliveries, anchoring the innings perfectly for Sussex. He was well-supported by Tom Alsop (14 off 12) and James Coles (28 off 16), who chipped in during the middle overs and helped accelerate towards the back end. Their collective efforts ensured Sussex posted a formidable total of 199/7 in their 20 overs, giving their bowlers a solid score to defend.

In reply, Glamorgan never really got going in their chase of 200. The top order faltered early, and the pressure of the required rate kept mounting with regular wickets falling. Colin Ingram (37 off 21) showed some intent, while Benjamin Kellaway (28 off 18) and Kiran Carlson (17 off 14) tried to steady the innings, but the chase lacked momentum throughout.

Daniel Douthwaite launched a spirited counterattack down the order, smashing a quickfire 40 off just 18 balls to inject some late hope into Glamorgan's chase. His aggressive strokeplay briefly reignited the contest, but it wasn’t enough. He was eventually dismissed by Crocombe, triggering a collapse as the hosts lost their final few wickets in a hurry and were bowled out for 172.

Sussex sealed a 27-run victory, thanks largely to Nathan McAndrew, who produced a sensational spell with the ball. He returned with exceptional figures of 6/21, becoming the first Sussex bowler to claim six wickets in a single T20 Blast innings—a match-winning performance that headlined a dominant outing for Sussex.

W GONEEE!! What a way to end the match! Nathan McAndrew becomes the first Sussex player to pick up a 6 wicket-haul in T20 Blast history! Banged it short into the wicket around middle and leg, slower ball. Leonard makes room for himself and slaps it aerially. The fielder at long on, settles underneath it and takes a comfortable catch. 3rd wicket of the over as Sussex win by 27 runs!
18.4 N McAndrew to M Crane
1 Good length delivery around off. Crane pushes it to extra cover for a single.
