That's all from this rain-hit contest, folks! For now, it's me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. CHEERS!
2:59 AM IST, 10:30 PM Local Time: PHEW! What an enthralling game of cricket we've just witnessed. Rain played spoilsport for the most part, reducing the match to just six overs per side, and after all the drama, nothing could separate the two sides - it's a tie!

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Hampshire lost skipper James Vince early for just 5 runs in the second over. However, Lhuan-dre Pretorius came out all guns blazing, scoring briskly from the outset. Hampshire were 40 for 1 at the end of 4 overs when rain interrupted play, leading to a reduction in the match to 6 overs per side.

Pretorius (44*) and Toby Albert (12*) added 23 runs in the last two overs of the innings and propelled Hampshire to 63/1 in 6 overs.

The target was revised to 76 runs for Middlesex under the DLS method. Their chase got off to a shaky start, managing only a leg bye in the opening over. Max Holden, who struggled early on, found his rhythm quickly and smashed a brisk 38 off just 18 balls before falling to Scott Currie on the final delivery of the fourth over.

Kane Williamson (23) and Ben Geddes (10) remained unbeaten, but they could only manage 12 when 13 were required in the final over. A pulsating game ends in a tie!

1b SWING AND A MISS......OH....THEY RUN A BYE! The match ends in a tie! And just to remind you, there’s no Super Over in the T20 Blast. Back of a length delivery on the stumps. Geddes swings and misses. The batters hustle for a bye run and the wicket-keeper misses the shy at his end.
2 needed on the final ball. Just a reminder - there is no provision for a Super Over in the T20 Blast.
5.5 S Currie to B Geddes
4 FOUR RUNS! A crucial boundary from Geddes and Middlesex need 2 runs on the final ball! Fuller length delivery on the 4th stump line. Geddes stays deep inside the crease and tonks it over the bowler's head for a boundary.
6 needed off 2 balls.
5.4 S Currie to B Geddes
2 Touch short and outside off. Geddes gets forward to play but loses his shape and mistimes it towards mid-wicket. The bowler runs towards it and puts a dive but fails to reach the ball. 2 runs added.
