This is me Aditya Agarwal signing off on behalf of Darpan Tikiya and Ghanendra Singh Thakur. BYE, CHEERS!
Sean Dickson: "It has been a long six weeks. But a nice pitch is nice pitch. We really batted well. The idea was to keep playing and to keep up with the rate. (On his recovery from the injury) Good to be back. Only started hitting balls 1 week ago. Lewis Gregory is great to bat with. Calm head. Middlesex are a tricky opposition. So, happy to have won this."
Phew! What an enthralling match we just had. A massive 464 runs were scored combined today, and Somerset emerged victorious after beating Middlesex by 5 wickets.

Earlier, Somerset put Middlesex to bat first. Middlesex posted a mammoth score of 229/5 on the board on the back of Max Holden’s stunning and unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 47 balls. Ben Geddes played as well with his knock of 69 runs off 32 balls.

Riley Meredith was the pick of the bowlers for his team as he bagged 4 wickets to his name.

Chasing 230, Somerset got off to a blistering start in the powerplay by Tom Banton and Tom-Kohler Cadmore. However, Middlesex struck with back-to-back wickets and put Somerset on the back foot.

Somerset were 45-3 at one stage. Tom Abell and Sean Dickson then joined hands. The duo added 43 runs for the fourth wicket before the former threw his wicket away.

Sean Dickson continued his onslaught from the other end. Skipper Lewis Gregory supported him with some lusty blows as well. With 105 runs needed in 48 balls, the duo smashed 58 runs in the next 3 overs and got back into the game.

Sean Dickson then got out after playing a knock of 76 runs off 38 balls. Lewis Gregory ( 58* off 23 balls) held fort at one end and got his team over the line by 5 wickets remaining and 4 balls to spare.

6 SKIPPER SMASHES SIX! SOMERSET REGISTER A SPECTACULAR WIN! They seemed to be staring down the gun barrel when they lost three wickets in the powerplay. They were chasing 230. But they have done it with 4 balls to spare and the captain has stood tall. He backed away for this one and launched it over long-on. Cornwall hurled it in the slot. Surely he did not intend to, but dejection in the air must have got to him. Not a great game for the Middlesex bowlers.

WD WIDE! Full but down the leg side. The crowd erupts once again and reminds the opposition that their team now has this in the bag. 1 to win off 5 balls.
19.1 N Cornwell to B Green
1lb Very full, speared in towards the pads from around the wicket. Gregory goes for the big flick, only gets an inside edge and picks a run as the ball rolls to backward square leg. 2 to win now

1 LONG HOP! PULLED! But straight to du Plooy at deep square leg. Just the single. Leaves Somerset with 3 runs to win off the final over.
