Brett D'Oliveira (Worcestershire Captain):"Pretty pleased with the performance tonight. The start we got was dicy but Adam and Kashif steadied the ship. Adam deserved a hundred but missed out. The short side boundary is difficult to defend sometimes. Kashif has his hand wrapped up, we will go back and assess it."
Joe Clarke (Nottinghamshire Captain): "It's a good surface, small boundaries but we failed to chase it down. We are in a good position with 2 wins and 2 losses. We will keep playing again."
Adam Hose (Player of the Match): "It was a tricky start in the powerplay but thanks to Kash it turned out to a nice one. With the short size it wasn't easy but we impressed ourselves. On good pitches I am trying to put the bowlers under pressure. There were a few bits regarding the backend of our bowlers but we did well tonight."
Player of the Match: Adam Hose
2:27 AM IST, 9:57 PM Local Time: Worcestershire win by 25 runs defeating a strong Nottinghamshire at their own turf.
Notts won the toss and elected to bowl first. Adam Hose (95 off 51) and Kashif Ali (51 off 35) top scored in a joint effort of 206/5.
The Notts kicked off the chase by losing Lyndon James in the very first over. Jack Haynes scored 19 before he was dismissed by Jacob Duffy in the 5th over. Moises Henriques failed to add more than 5 runs.
Tom Moores then added 38 runs for the next wicket and top scored with 39. It was Liam Patterson-White at the fag end of the innings to hit 5 back-to-back sixes finishing unbeaten on 39 in 19 balls.
Tom Taylor (2/36) and Jacob Duffy (2/42) were the pick of the bowlers but it was thoroughly a combined effort from the Worcestershire bowlers to restrict Notts at a low score.
