1:51 AM IST, 9:21 PM Local Time | Glamorgan have done it as they have bagged their second victory of the season. The skipper, Kiran Carlson, fought from the very front with his 93 as the home team chased down the target by six wickets with an over to go.
Chasing 184 runs, Carlson and William Smale gave an electrifying start to the hosts. Opening against the likes of Mohammad Amir and Sam Cook, the duo gave nothing to Essex. The duo added 91 runs for the opening wicket, before Smale lost the plot against Shane Snater on 43.
Benjamin Kellaway added a few runs for the next wicket partnership with Carlson, but the former was found wanting against Simon Harmer. Glamorgan then lost Colin Ingram off Paul Walter, who later got rid of Carlson on 93. However, the game was long gone from Essex.
Eventually, Asa Tribe finished off the game with a boundary on the final ball on the penultimate over!
Earlier in the day, the Glamorgan spinners choked the Essex middle-order when Mason Crane and Kellaway bowled in tandem. The spin twins shared four wickets between them as they brought Essex to their knees despite Michael Pepper's 30-ball 60. Additionally, Daniel Douthwaite snapped three wickets in the first innings.
With this victory, Glamorgan are back to winning ways, while Essex are yet to win their first game this season!

4 FOURRRRR!!! That would be it. Tribe with the finishing shot as Glamorgan stun Essex at Cardiff! Drives it down the ground for a boundary. The home team beat Essex by six wickets with as many deliveries still in the bank. Too full on the stumps. Tribe presses low and then drills the ball though Amir for a boundary at long-on!

1 Back of a length on the off-stump. Cooke gets on top of it. Pushes towards point. One more added!

0 Bouncer on the off-stump. Kicks off the deck. Tribe tries to pull that but smells the leather as he misses it.
