1:59 AM IST, 9:29 PM Local Time: A hat-trick of wins for Hampshire as they go top of the table in the South Group defeating Gloucestershire by 7 wickets and 30 balls left!
Gloucestershire won the toss and elected to bat first. The Hants bowlers ran through the lineup with Oliver Price top scoring with 42 in 39 balls. John Turner (3/28), Chris Wood (2/16), Benny Howell (2/14) and Scott Currie (2/19) were the wreckers in chief with the ball.
The chase started on a bright note as Toby Albert and James Vince added 57 runs for the opening wicket in just 6.2 overs before Tom Smith had Vince caught for 17. David Payne then dismissed Tom Prest and Joe Weatherley nicked one to the keeper but it was Albert who continued fetching boundaries regularly and finished the innings with an unbeaten 73 off 44 balls with 8 fours and 4 towering sixes.
Payne (1/14), Tom Smith (1/16) and D'Arcy Short (1/22) were the pick of the bowlers but Gloucs never had any chance to defend the low score against a strong Hampshire batting order.
