That marks the end of our coverage from the 28th match of the International League T20 2025 between MI Emirates vs Sharjah Warriorz. Sharjah Warriorz have won the game and booked a berth in the play-off.

I am Saptak Sanyal, your text commentator signing off on behalf of the scorer/analyst of this game Yogesh Kumar. Keep you eyes to the other tabs to follow more cricketing actions around the world.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Player of the Match): "Obviously we knew the goal today. We wanted to do something good today and it paid off.

I try to dominate the bowling and put the pressure back on them. My coach has always told me to try to hit the sight screen. I keep it as simple as possible. I just look to middle the ball.

We got off to a good start, then Roy came in and continued. When Wade came in, we tried to take the game deep and when the things went well, we tried to go big. We lost a few games initially and that loss against the Vipers was big. But then we played well and came back. Finally we are into the play-off."
Player of the Match: Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Tim Southee (Sharjah Warriorz Captain): "I think probably the way the guys have gone is incredible. In the last three-four games, they have done well.

It is a 3-4 week long tournament. TKC batted brilliant throughout the tournament and Wade joined us yesterday and he batted well. Glad to get into the play-offs."
Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates Captain): "I think we were 10 runs short. 15 to be precise. We allowed them as a bowling group to come back in the game.

They played well, batted well. But we didn't do well in the field. The credit must be given to them. They did well throughout the game. We have a chance as well but as a MI Emirates player, I think we are in a good place."
Dispatch of the Day: Tom Banton
Time for the post-match presentations.
6:47 PM IST and 5:17 PM Local Time | Sharjah Warriorz have pulled off a comfortable victory over MI Emirates by 8 wickets and with 16 balls to go.

Earlier coming to bat first after losing the toss, MI Emirates got a good start as Andre Fletcher and Muhammad Waseem gave 44 runs in the board quickly. But in the final over of the powerplay, Waseem and Fletcher got out in two back-to-back deliveries. After their dismissals, Kusal Perera and Tom Banton took the onus. They added 76 runs in their partnership and that partnership took the game deep. Kusal Perera got out for 31 off 23 balls.

Nicholas Pooran and Romario Shepherd didn't contribute as much as expected but Tom Banton's presence made the things easy for MI Emirates. The English batter remained unbeaten on 84 off 51 balls hitting 6 fours and 5 maximums to take the team score to 173.

For MI Emirates, skipper Tim Southee was the star of the show picking up a wicket for 22 runs. Adam Milne and Dilshan Madushanka took one wicket apiece.

Coming to chase the run, Warriorz sent Johnson Charles as a super-sub. Charles didn't contribute much as he got out for just 14. Jason Roy and the other opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore started piling up the runs on the board and they took their team to 59 runs after the powerplay. But a misunderstanding between Roy and TKC terminated the former's innings. Roy got out for 22 runs off 15 balls with 1 fours and 2 maximums.

Matthew Wade, the recent winner of the Big Bash League came to play his first innings for the Warriorz and shone brilliantly. He stitched a big partnership with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and helped their side to cruise towards victory. Their 55-ball 106 runs partnership was crucial for the Warriorz to get the victory. One good thing they did was to not play false shots against the spinner sans a single time. Wade remained unbeaten on 44 off 25 balls. Tom Kohler-Cadmore remained unbeaten on 91 off 52 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes to help his side get the victory.

For MI Emirates, Fazalhaq Farooqi took the wicket of Charles. Their fielding was very shoddy and that wreaked them havoc. They dropped too many catches and the game slipped out of their hands.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations.
