So that will be it. Vipers were just too good in the end for the Giants as they chased down the 130 run total comfortably in the end, and booked their Top 2 spot. For the Giants, they still have hope, as the battle for Top 4 heats up. This is Sumeet Mate, Aditya Agarwal & Sourabh Agarwal taking your leave. GOOD BYE!! GOOD NIGHT!! TAKE CARE!!!
Wanindu Hasaranga (Player Of The Match): "I just tried to stick to my basics, leg-break and googlies into the stumps.
I like this venue, even in the Asia cup I got wickets here. I like bowling at this venue.
The fast bowlers did really well, even the batters did their job as well, we have done our job as a team."

Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers Captain) : " Yeah, look boys are really happy especially considering the last game. It was a good wicket I think. Yeah, Max is unreal, he has been training really hard and always nice to see him get the runs.
We have a couple of days off. So we will have a chill time tomorrow and then prepare."
James Vince (Gulf Giants' Captain): "Wasn't a great performance with the bat, that is where we lost the game. Conditions were tricky but we had the quality to deal with it. We did well with the ball.
(On the partnership between Curran and Aayan) Gave us some belief, at one stage we were looking at less than 100. Fantastic partnership, TC (Tom Curran played really well). They got away whenever we got wickets with a partnership.
(On the decision to hold back Aayan) Felt seam was quite threatening, short boundaries, the match-up wasn't favorable against certain batters. He was done well whenever he has been called up, felt Gerhard was a better option.
It is pretty much do-or-die for us now, will look to do our best and try and sneak up."

Time for the post-match presentations.
11:31 PM IST, 10:01 PM Local Time | So, Desert Vipers have now booked their place in the Top 2 with this win. That was a proper UAE slow wicket and we did get a fairly good low scoring game in the end. The Vipers even after losing wickets at regular intervals, seemed in control of the chase for most part of the innings. All thanks to Max Holden, who held one end firmly with a match winning 70 of 54. This was not an easy wicket to bat and Holden really batted well, as he was there right till the end to ensure Vipers get over the line.
With the ball it was yet again Muzarabani with another 3-fer, and the rest of the Giants bowler also bowled with discipline, but in the end 130 was always going to be tough to defend.
Earlier in the day, Giants were restricted to just 129 by the Vipers as Sam Curran and Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets, each. The Giants at one point were 61/8 and if not for Tom Curran’s heroics with the bat, it would have been a sorry looking score for Giants.
