That will be all from our side as we close our coverage of this ILT20 game between the Sharjah Warriorz and the MI Emirates! For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and our Scorer/Analyst Raju Khariya.
Tom Banton (Player of the Match): "Yes good to get the runs. We have batted well in this match. I struggled for the first 9-10 balls but thankfully overcame the situation. The first 25 balls gave me some trouble to settle but once I settled it was easy.

Nicky (Nicholas Pooran) talks a lot in the dressing room about taking the responsibility and it feels good to contribute. Out of my three 100s in this format, I will rate it as the best one."
Player of the Match: Tom Banton
Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates Captain): "Yes a good victory. Tom has been batting well for a long time and now he got the runs. It is good to see the players taking the responsibility.

The bowlers did well in the game too. We talk about taking responsibility in the dressing room. We talk about improving every day and today is a better day for us."
Tim Southee (Sharjah Warriorz Captain): "176 was not a bad score but I think we were reasonably happy with the total. They did well with their change of pace and I think taking wickets were crucial but we failed to do that.

Yes drop catches hurt. If we had taken those catches, it would've helped. Avishka has been doing well for the last two matches. Hope he continues to do well."

6:54 PM IST and 5:24 PM Local Time- Tom Banton has finished things off in style and the MI Emirates have won by 9 wickets. This has been an emphatic win for them against the Sharjah Warriorz who failed to get back into the contest with the ball after getting an early wicket in the powerplay. Banton played an incredible innings and brought up his first 100 in the ILT20. He remained unbeaten on 102 while he was ably supported by Kusal Perera who made 56 unbeaten runs from 42 balls.

Muhammad Waseem got the MI Emirates off to a good start but he was dismissed by Madushanka with the score on 20. The pair of Banton and Kusal Perera took their time early on and focused on rotating the strike in the powerplay. Tom Banton was the aggressor as Perera played second fiddle. The MI Emirates managed to get to 41 in the first six overs.

Banton began to accelerate post the powerplay as he targeted the two spinners. Mathew and Wells were taken to the cleaners by Banton who played the big shots all around the park. Kusal Perera also began to accelerate as the Sharjah bowlers looked out of ideas. The partnership went past 100 in the 14th over and the required run rate came down steadily for the MI Emirates.

Banton went berserk post the 15th over and got to his 100 in just 54 balls. He brought up his third hundred in T20 cricket and it was an innings of statement from him. He has been out of the England national set-up for a while and this knock will go a long way in building his confidence for the remaining matches in the tournament.

The Tim Southee led Sharjah bowling attack struggled against the pair of Perera and Banton as they leaked too many runs. The two spinners, Mathew and Wells were just not good enough and the seamers also struggled. Dilshan Madushanka was the only one to pick up a wicket. Adam Milne was the pick of the bowlers as he gave away only 16 runs from his four overs.
