That's all we have from the coverage of the Match No. 8 of the ILT20 2025 between Sharjah Warriorz and Dubai Capitals.

This is me, Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar who brought you all actions of the event. BYE, CHEERS!!
Avishka Fernando (Player of the Match): "I was only focusing on my normal and natural game and the results came off. When the score was 200, my thinking was to play positive.

I didn't realize that I broke the record of the fastest fifty in the competition but I'm very happy to break the record."
Player of the Match: Avishka Fernando
Tim Southee (Sharjah Warriorz Captain): "It was a great performance. It was an outstanding knock from Avishka. Very pleased. There is plenty to improve though. The fielding can be better. Yeah, the fielding has not been great in this tournament and there are number of factors for that. The execution with the ball was harder and the batters would smash you around here. Fernando was amazing as I said. Thank you."
Sikandar Raza (Dubai Capitals Captain): "Suddenly the first two games were not good for batting. 201 on Sharjah is we don't see often in Sharjah. The ball gets low and it is always tough to score. Shai has been a fantastic addition to our family. His prowess continued.

The wicket got better and the dew came in. The surface got better because of dew. I think our fielding could've been better. Credit goes to Avishka. He batted really in a fantastic way but if we had taken his catch early, it would've been a different game.

We have a game tomorrow and we have to regroup ourselves."

Time for the post-match presentations.
11:35 PM IST & 10:05 PM Local Time | ALL OVER! Sharjah Warriorz win by 5 wickets and chase a 200+ target with almost 2 overs to go. Smiles and hugs all around the Sharjah camp. A clinical batting display by them seals the deal for them.

So, here is how the game panned out.

Opting to bowl first, the Warriorz were a bit expensive in the middle and death overs but did a decent job to restrict the Capitals to 201/5 on a batting friendly track. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers for them and picked up 2 wickets in his 4-over spell. Adil Rashid and Adam Milne also bowled decently and picked up a wicket each.

With the bat, the Capitals would be happy with their batting performance but will feel they were 20-25 runs short considering the wicket. Shai Hope was the pick of the batters for them and remained unbeaten on 83* off just 52 balls. In the end, Rovman Powell was also solid and scored 28 off just 15 balls and helped his side cross the 200-mark.

Coming to the chase, it was a clinical batting display by the hosts who came all guns blazing. Jason Roy and Johnson Charles gave a solid start to their side and scored 26 and 37 runs respectively. The highlight of the innings was the impact sub Avishka Fernando who played a blinder of knock and scored 81 off just 27 balls and sealed the game for his team. Luke Wells was also impressive lower down the order and remained unbeaten on 31*.

With the ball, it was a pretty ordinary bowling display by the Capitals. There was also some dew in the 2nd helps which did not help with either. Dushmantha Chameera was the only impressive bowler for them and ended his spell with the figures of 3/30 in his 4 overs.

Stay tuned for the presentations.
