Dan Lawrence (Desert Vipers, Player of the Match)- " I think that the situation was well suited for me. I allowed myself to get in and understand the pace of the pitch. We have a really experienced bowling attack and we executed the plans today. We have a really professional set up here and it has been a great experience. The weather has been good. Certainly a lot warmer over here than it is back home. "
Player of the Match: Daniel Lawrence
Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers Captain): "It was good to get a wicket first ball. Haha. It was a grassy wicket and there was some help for the pacers. It feels good to get a win against a strong side.
The plan of the boys are clear. It is good to have a chat with these guys after coming here. And overall a good win to start the tournament."
Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Captain)- "We had a tough powerplay and the pair of Salt and Sharafu did well to help us come back in the end. Russell was brilliant. It became easier to bat in the second half. It was about keeping wickets in hand for us. I think the pitch had a bit more pace in it. Hopefully we can learn from this and come back better. Bravo has a lot of knowledge regarding the game and he helps us execute the plans."
