Milestone
That's all we have coverage of the match between Lancashire and Worcestershire. Till then this is me Aditya Agarwal signing off on behalf of Darpan Tikiya and Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/anlayst Sahil Khan. BYE, CHEERS!
Luke Wood: "When I was batting in the middle, it looked difficult. Cutters were the way to go with the ball. You saw, for both sides it was a bit of a free fall in the powerplay. But then, the spinners of both teams bowled well. These kind of wins are important.

(On Thomas Aspinwall's last over) He is a quality player. The plan was to make them hit against the breeze. But he has done excellently well. It has been difficult first half of the season. The win will provide a boost. We love playing at home."
09:23 PM Local Time & 01:53AM IST | Lancashire kick-start their campaign with a thumping win over Worcestershire as they beat them in a thriller by a margin of 7 runs.

Here's a review of what happened in the match.

Earlier, Lancashire went on to put a fighting score on the board of 176/8 on the back of their skipper Keaton Jennings' scintillating knock of 66 runs off just 38 balls. Ashton Turner and Michael Alexander Jones chipped in with crucial cameos of 31 and 26* respectively.

Chasing 177, Worcestershire lost Ed Pollock early with a score of 10 on the board. However, Kashif Ali and Brett D' Oliveira ensured that their team is in the hunt as the duo added 61 runs for the second wicket.

Kashif Ali then got out after making 39 off 21 balls. Worcestershire were moving along with the game, but Lancashire struck back to back wickets in the middle overs to stem their run flow.

As a result, Worcestershire crumbled from 93-2 to 121-5. Ethan Brookes and Ben Dwarshuis then added a quickfire 31 run stand for the sixth wicket.

With 26 runs needed off 12 balls, Luke Wood bowled a splendid penultimate over as he gave 11 runs and bagged a crucial wicket of Ethan Brookes.

In the end, Tom Aspinwall did well in the final over to defend 15 runs and win the game for his side by a margin on 7 runs.

19.6 T Aspinwall to B Dwarshuis
4 HEAVED AWAY! FOUR! But it barely matters. Rapids have fallen 7 runs short and the Lancashire faithfuls in the stands celebrate with exuberance. Back of a length ball at the body. Dwarshuis whacked it towards the boundary in front of square leg. But all the bowler had to do was ensure that it wasn't a no-ball or wide. He did.
19.5 T Aspinwall to B Dwarshuis
0 Very full, at the fifth peg. Dwarshuis plunges his bat down but fails to dig it out.
Fateh Singh is the new batter in.
