Earlier, after opting to bat first, Tanzid Hasan came out all guns blazing from the outset and provided Dhaka Capitals with a rollicking start. Despite losing Litton Das (10) and Habibur Rahman Sohan (3) cheaply, Tanzid's rapid knock helped the Capitals post 54 runs in the powerplay.
Tanzid notched up his fifty off just 28 balls but failed to convert it into a big score and departed for 58 runs off 37 balls. The Dhaka Capitals lost a few wickets in quick succession in the second half of the innings and were reeling at 94/7 in 20 overs. Sabbir Rahman smashed a few boundaries at the tail end and contributed a valuable 20 runs but still, the Capitals could only muster 123/9 in 20 overs.
