4:25 PM IST and 4:55 PM Local Time- The Dhaka Capitals have cruised to an 8 wicket win over the Chittagong Kings and it has been an incredible innings from Tanzid Hasan that has taken them over the line. The left handed opener has had a stunning tournament with the bat and he continued it today as he blasted off an unbeaten 54 ball 90 to see his side home. He was given good company by Sabbir Rahman towards the end as he remained unbeaten on 14 from 9 balls.
The Dhaka Capitals got off to a flyer in the powerplay courtesy Tanzid Hasan who came out all guns blazing. He targeted the seamers from one end and Litton Das picked up the singles from the other end. The Capitals picked up 57 runs from the powerplay and were cruising at that stage before the Kings came back slightly into the contest as they choked the flow of runs and boundaries for a few overs.
It allowed the pressure to build on Dhaka Kings and resulted in the wicket of Litton Das as Pakistani seamer Hussain Talat broke through. Tanzid Hasan continued with his sparkling form and he got past his 50 with a maximum. He continued to find the boundaries when it mattered although Shahriar struggled to get going.
Aliss Al Islam picked up a wicket at a crucial juncture of the game as he got rid of Shahriar. However, the Chittagong Kings failed to capitalize on the momentum as they continued to leak runs post the 15th over mark. In the end, it was all too easy for Tanzid Hasan and Sabbir Rahman as they finished off the game with 11 balls remaining.
