That’s all from this high-scoring contest, folks! Sylhet Strikers registered their first win in the ongoing BPL, while Dhaka Capitals’ quest for a win continues. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
Ariful Haque (Sylhet Strikers Captain): "Of course, we are in a lot of pressure. This victory was important as we lost earlier ones. Zakir was just brilliant.

Rony is an opener. He came in the middle order and adjusted himself well to bat well. Sakib and me had a responsibility. I told him that if we can take the game deep, we will win the game. It was all about keeping calm."
Zakir Hasan (Player of the Match): "Feeling great after winning the first game for Sylhet. We had lost the first three matches, so after winning the fourth one, it feels really good. As a local boy, I’ve received great support throughout the tournament, and I’m really enjoying it. Hopefully, we will carry the momentum into the next games."

Time for post-match presentation.....
Thisara Perera (Dhaka Capitals Captain): "Again we need a win desperately. As a batting unit, we didn't capitalize in the first few overs but batted well later. I think it was a 220 wicket. We have to positive as a batting unit. Halfway of the tournament is gone and we have to play the later half well to finish in the top four.

In this condition, it is really tough to grip the ball. We should've given 12-14 runs to the bowlers per over but we failed to do so. We have to be positive."
10:02 PM IST, 10:32 PM Local Time: Brilliant batting display by the Sylhet Strikers batters, and they chased down 193 runs with 3 wickets and 8 balls to spare, securing their first win of the tournament. On the other hand, nothing is going well for the Dhaka Capitals in this tournament, as they have lost all six games they have played so far in this event.

Earlier, after opting to bat first, Litton Das (73) adopted a positive intent and scored rapidly from the outset. The right-hander reached fifty in just 29 balls and added 129 runs for the second wicket along with Munim Shahriar (52), laying a solid foundation for his side.

Sabbir Rahman (23) and Thisara Perera (18) played valuable cameos for the Capitals, helping their side post an imposing total of 193/6 in 20 overs. Rahkeem Cornwall was the standout bowler for the Sylhet Strikers, finishing with impressive figures of 3/27. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Reece Topley chipped in with a wicket each.

In pursuit of a hefty 193 runs, Sylhet Strikers lost Rahkeem Cornwall for a golden duck on the very first ball of the innings. George Munsey (11), Aaron Jones (14), and Nahidul Islam (11) showed intent with aggressive starts, but their stays at the crease were short-lived. Zakir Hasan batted in top gear from the word go and kept the run rate in check. He delivered 58 runs off 27 balls before falling prey to Shubham Ranjane.

Rony Talukdar (30) and Jaker Ali (24) chipped in with crucial runs at the tail end but both set batters departed at the crucial juncture of the game. However, Ariful Haque stepped up with a quickfire 28* off just 15 balls, guiding his side to victory with three wickets in hand and eight balls to spare.

Farmanullah Safi and Shubham Ranjane bagged a couple of wickets each for the Capitals but were a tad expensive. Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Jayed, and Mosaddek Hossain contributed one wicket each.

Stay tuned for the presentation.....
