Galle Marvels have defeated the Kandy Bolts by 6 wickets. A supreme performance from the Marvels team as they have chased the highest target of this year's tournament to come out victorious in the eliminator.

Kandy Bolts got off to a flying start as Pathum Nissanka took o  Prabath Jayasuriya to hit him for three boundaries on a trot in the first three balls. But Luke Wood curtailed the run flow until Dinesh Chandimal started taking on Maheesh Theekshana. Nissanka got out for 15 in the floating powerplay over off Binura Fernando but Chandimal continued to score. Chandimal scored 30 off 14 balls before getting retired hurt.

George Munsey was the star of the first innings. He took his time initially but went berserk at the Marvels' bowlers. He scored 61 off 27 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes to take his team past the 100-run mark. Eventually they finished with 118 runs on the board.

For the Galle Marvels, Binura Fernando was the most economical bowler taking a solitary wicket. Chamindu Wickramasinghe, Zahoor Khan and skipper Maheesh Theekshana took one wicket each.

Coming to chase the run, Galle Marvels brought in Niroshan Dickwella as an impact sub for Binura but Dickwella got out for just 2. However, Bhanuka Rajapaksa got off the mark with a boundary and didn't let the pressure fall on his team. Alex Hales took on Gunasekara to hit four consecutive boundaries but got out in the final ball of the over.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa then played the aggressor's role and later Udara joined him. Together they added 56 for the 3rd wicket where Udara added 19. Bhanuka got out for 42 off 21 balls with 4 boundaries and 3 maximums.

Shakib Al Hasan came to bat and he hit Thisara Perera for 3 maximums in the 8th over of the match. The target was 33 from the remaining 3 overs before the Kandy Bolts' skipper came to bowl but he conceded 21 to make it easier for the Marvels. Shehan Jayasuriya gave 15 away in his 4 balls of the next over and Galle Marvels won the game. Shakib remained unbeaten on 29 off 8 balls and Chamindu Wickramasinghe scored 9 from 4 balls.

Chaturanga de Silva took 2 important wickets of Lahiru Udara and Bhanuka Rajapaksa but his efforts were not enough for the Kandy Bolts.
