That will be all from our side as we wrap up our live coverage of this Lanka Premier T10 League 2024 contest between the Nuwara Eliya Kings and the Galle Marvels. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of Arjun besides our Scorer/Analyst Raju Khariya. See you soon.
Right so, yet another game has been called off in this Lanka T10 Super League 2024. The Galle Marvels were put into bat by the Kings and they had a rather slow start to the innings. Alex Hales and Niroshan Dickwella failed to get the runs early on and the pressure continued to build on the batters.
Dushan Hemantha made full use of the conditions for the Kings as he came in and picked up a couple of wickets to derail the innings. The final wicket was that of Weerakkody who ran himself out just before the rain stopped play.
Overall, it will be a really disappointing result for the Nuwara Eliya Kings as they've endured a washout for the third time in a row and it will put some questions on their prospects of going into the play offs. We do have a couple of more games coming up in the day and we hope that the rains recede by that time.

5:15 PM IST and Local Time | Rain wins, play losses. The match between Galle Marvels and Nuwara Eliya Kings has been called off!
5:04 PM IST and Local Time | There is still nothing new to update. The covers are firmly in place and the delay continues. The time for getting in a full game has also officially elapsed so we will start to lose overs from here onwards.
4:48 PM IST and Local Time | The covers have covered the entire field, with rain pouring down rigorously. We are in for a long haul.
4:34 PM IST and Local Time |The unwanted guest is here. It has started to pour down in Pallekele as the groundstaff brings the heavy blue covers on. The umpires take off the bails as the players head out.
Pure miscommunication in the middle. Yes and no between Weerakkody and Rajapaksa as they look to steal a single. The latter says no and Karunaratne runs out Weerakkody at the striker's end.
